CHAPTER 4: Embarrassed by Attract

Days passed and they still continued traveling for Ash to get more gym badges. On the way they met new Pokémon and people to relate and become friends. One person in particular that Ash, Iris and Cilan met was Bianca, who came for something specific, she wanted to give a Badge case that Professor Juniper forgot to give him for his journey. She looked for it in her bag and took a long time to get it out, and the Badge case looked very dirty.

From nowhere, a Minccino appeared and stole the object and ran away from there, he did it because he wanted to clean it with his tail. It was there where Bianca had the idea of wanting to catch that Pokémon, while the others watched. It was very difficult to catch the chinchilla Pokémon, he always escaped when they didn't pay attention and he was going on the offensive to escape again, they even put some traps to make easy to catch him, but he released himself from them easily. It was such that Ash wanted to help Bianca using his Pokémon, but they couldn't handle with the normal-type.

Oshawott tried to attack him, but Minccino used Tickles on him to later used Double Slap and let him fainted, later Snivy came out and used Attract on him, but the chinchilla dodged and used Attract on her, leaving her in the infatuated condition by him and she wasn't able to do anything. Only Pikachu was able to cope with the normal-type Pokémon and resisted the tickles to leave him stunned with Thunderbolt. It was Bianca's chance to use a Poké Ball at the wild Pokémon, but she took so much time to take one from her bag that Minccino escaped, until she finally took out the object, which was very dirty. Just then, the chinchilla went quickly towards her and got up to clean the Poké Ball, without noticing that it would open and catch the Pokémon, and the capture was a success with nothing more to say. He got caught by himself.

Afterwards, Ash and Bianca did a friendly battle between them and the young man with hat won. Later, they said goodbye and possibly would meet again further on. Ash, Iris and Cilan continued with their path to the next city with a gym to beat for Ash.

One day during the trip, they decided to rest for a moment and freed their Pokémon for them to rest outdoor as well. Snivy, as usually, decided to distance herself to rest calmly, and Oshawott wanted to go to accompany her for a moment, and talk about something.

"Hello, Snivy, how are you?"

"Hi, Oshawott, I'm fine. And you?"

"I'm fine as well."

"I'm glad for it."

There were some seconds of silence until the Sea Otter Pokémon said:

"Hey, Snivy..."

"Yes?"

"I wanted to talk with you about something."

"About what?"

"Umm... do you remember when Ash, Iris, Cilan and a girl called Bianca wanted to catch a wild Minccino?"

"Yes, I remember that, what's wrong?"

"Well... I wondered if... how did you feel after receiving Attract from Minccino?"

"What? How do you know that?" Snivy was confused.

"Our partners told me that you received the Attract move from that Minccino and that you got in the infatuated condition. I wondered how you felt after that."

Snivy was speechless for by what her teammate said. Why did he want to know that kind of things from her? What was he planning?

"Why do you want to know that?" the grass snake asked later.

"It turns out that... umm... I..."

"Oshawott, are you all right?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm alright. Uh... Do you also remember the first time we met?"
