CHAPTER 11: Supporting a romance

Several things happened. Ash went to Virbank City and won his eighth and last gym badge. He was ready to enter the Unova League, but it would be carried out in three more months, so they take advantage to go for an ice cream as they thought what to do. In the ice cream stand, they met with Cynthia, champion of the Sinnoh region, who was in the Unova region to participate in an exhibition match in the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup, that it would be carried out in Lacunosa Town. Anyone could participate, so Ash, Iris and Cilan would enter in the tourney and would do anything possible to win.

They went in car to the port to aboard a plane towards Undella Town, but they found a Pokémon in middle of the road. It was about a Meloetta, an extremely rare Pokémon to see, and she was injured. Everyone had to help her. All of them did their part to try to heal the Melody Pokémon, and later when she got better, left the place, and the trainers continued with their path to the port to travel to Undella Town.

Once they were there, they went in car to Cynthia's vacation home, in middle of the road, they noticed that the Pokémon that they had found previously, Meloetta, was inside the vehicle. It seemed that she had entered in the plane and was following them. There was no problem in regards, so they continued until reaching Cynthia's vacation home.

After arriving and entering, there was a surprise for Ash, he had re-encountered with Dawn, her companion from the Sinnoh region, together with Piplup. She said that she was in Unova to participate in the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup as well. They exited the house so Dawn's Pokémon could meet Ash, Iris and Cilan's Pokémon. In middle of the meeting, they noticed that Meloetta was still with them, but she was invisible to not to be seen. After gaining some confidence, she turned visible and went to interact with the trainers' Pokémon.

Ash, Iris and Cilan stayed in Cynthia's vacation home until the Unova League started, and everyone was going to participate meanwhile in the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup.

They trained and had some little adventures. One day, all their Pokémon were free to do whatever they pleased. Oshawott moved away to think on something specific, distanced so nobody bothered him. Snivy noticed that and got rather intrigued for him, she went to see what he was doing. After arriving, when she was close, the grass snake heard her partner mumbling in low voice, she was able to hear a bit of what he was talking. It seemed that he searched to do a gift or something like that. What was Oshawott planning? It was better to investigate. Snivy greeted him cordially:

"Hello, Oshawott."

"Oh! Hi, Snivy, how's it going?"

"I'm fine."

"How good. Uhh... what are you doing here next to me?"

"I saw you moving away from the other Pokémon and I wanted to know what it was happening to you. What were you talking to yourself?"

"Right, umm... I... I was thinking on what gift I had to give to Meloetta."

"A gift for Meloetta?"

"Yeah, I fell madly in love with her since I saw her for the first time, I'm preparing to declare her when I have the opportunity. I was thinking on what gift I had to give her for that moment. I could give her flowers, or maybe to show my abilities in combat to impress her, or maybe I can sing her a song for her to fall in love with me. I'm not very sure."

"I see..."

"Do you have any idea of what to give her so she falls in love with me?"

"Mmm... I don't have ideas in mind for that occasion."
