Morning, I feel so ill 😩 x

Nick: Have you only just woken up? 😂

Yes, I made the decision to skip my lecture today 😂

Nick: How hungover are you?

My head's pounding, I feel like I'm gonna throw up every time I move 😂

Nick: Aww, I'd look after you if I was there 😘

You're adorable 🥰

Nick: I don't have another client until 4, not that I can really do much over text 😂

We could speak on the phone?

Nick: Yeah? I'd like that 😊

Shit, I'm nervous now 😂

Nick: I am a bit too 🤣

God, we're pathetic 😂😂 are you calling me or am I calling you?

Nick: Let me just load the dishwasher then I'll call you 😂

So domestic 😜😘

Nick

I didn't really need to load the dishwasher, I was suddenly very nervous and needed to take a few minutes to compose myself. We had been texting every day for a week, but I still hadn't heard his voice.

As ridiculous as it sounded, it made it feel real, it made Charlie feel real. Hearing him speak words instead of just reading them, maybe even hearing him laugh.

I waited about three minutes, and then got comfortable on the sofa before calling him. My palms were sweating, I licked my lips out of habit, and after just a few rings, he answered and I heard his voice.

"Hello." He giggled nervously, the most adorable thing I had ever heard.
"Hey." I chuckled softly.
"This is so weird." He giggled again.
"I know, I don't know why I'm so nervous." I laughed.
"Oh fuck." He said under his breath.
"What?" I giggled.
"Uhm, nothing." He said quickly.
"Well you have to tell me now." I teased.
"You have a really sexy voice." He said quietly.
"Thank you." I chuckled, blushing.
"You're more well spoken than I expected though." He giggled.
"What do you mean?"
"Honestly? I thought you were a bit of a chav." He laughed.
"Oh thanks!" I chortled.
"It's not a bad thing." He giggled.
"Why did you think I was a chav?" I chuckled softly.
"You just seemed a bit chavvy when I saw you at school."
"I still can't believe we went to the same school." I laughed.
"I know, and you're even hotter now." He giggled.
"I'd say the same but I can't remember what you looked like in school."
"There's probably some photos on my Instagram, but don't you dare look."
"I'm looking." I laughed, putting him on speaking and opening Instagram.
"Nick!" He giggled.

Charlie

I had been very nervous to speak to Nick on the phone, but after just a few minutes I completely relaxed. His voice was quite deep, but also soft and smooth. I liked the way he spoke, his tone was so calming and instantly made me feel comforted.

"Oh my god you were so cute!" He chuckled affectionately.
"For fucks sake, what photo?" I giggled.
"It looks like you're in a tent, and you're doing the peace sign and one with the caption, ninty percent of scientists can't..."
"Yep, okay. That's enough!" I laughed, cutting him off.
"You're still cute by the way." He giggled.
"Shut up." I chuckled
"Have you caught up with your uni work yet?"
"Almost, so I should be free Sunday babe."
"I like that." He giggled.
"Like what?"
"You calling me babe." He chuckled.
"I call everyone babe, you're nothing special." I tease.
"Oh, I see how it is." He laughed.
"I'm joking, babe." I giggled.
