♡ The two students, who initially ignore each other, gradually form a friendship. Their friendship begins with an academic responsibility.
♡ The boy is an average student, particularly weak in math, while the girl is a topper, known for excelling in the subject. One day, the boy returns to school after being absent for a week. When the teacher asks him why, he says he was out traveling. As a result, he falls behind on his notes and assignments, and since the girl is the best in math, the teacher instructs her to help him catch up and explain math to him every day. The girl sees this as a perfect chance to ignore him because he had ignored her earlier.
♡ For the next three days, the boy tries to approach the girl, but she avoids him and only leaves her notes on his desk without speaking to him. The tension builds until the teacher asks the boy if the girl is helping him with math. Surprisingly, he lies and says, "Yes, ma'am, she's teaching me well and has been very helpful." The girl is shocked when she hears this because, in reality, she hadn’t helped him at all.
♡After school, the girl confronts the boy, asking why he lied to the teacher. The boy admits that he knows she’s been ignoring him because he did the same when they first met. He explains that the reason he ignored her initially was because he was nervous—he had never spoken to a girl before, having come from an all-boys school. He tells her that he didn’t want the teacher to scold her, which is why he lied, and apologizes for his earlier behavior.
♡The girl is taken aback by his honesty and suggests that they put the past behind them. She agrees to teach him math from then on. This marks the beginning of their friendship. Over the next week, the girl helps the boy understand math better, and as time passes, their bond grows stronger. The girl introduces him to her group of seven friends, and soon he becomes a part of their close-knit circle. They all become good friends, spending time together, joking around, and teasing each other, especially the boy and girl. The boy starts calling her "math mam" because of how well she teaches him, even though he still doesn’t like math much.
♡ Despite the fun they have together, there are no romantic feelings between them at this point—they are just good friends. However, life throws a twist. After some time, three of their friends move out of the city for further studies, and the girl decides to change schools to focus on building a strong foundation for science, which she plans to take up in the 11th grade. The group falls apart, and they never meet together as a group again.
♡ The separation deeply affects all of them, especially the boy. He misses the girl a lot, but he doesn’t fully understand why. He starts to realize that she was different from everyone else, and he begins to develop feelings for her. However, he decides to focus on his studies instead of thinking about her. On the other hand, the girl, in her new school, misses her old friends and especially remembers the moments she spent with the boy—teaching him math, how he would ask to stop studying after a while, and how he would wonder why she liked math so much. She even remembers the nickname "math mam" that he gave her, but she assumes that the boy wouldn’t be missing her at all.
♡ Both of them are missing each other and slowly developing feelings, but neither is willing to admit it. They both think the other person isn’t thinking about them. Sometimes, they reflect on how life pulls people apart just to make them realize their value. As the saying goes, “distance makes love stronger.”
♡ A year passes without them contacting each other, and they have almost forgotten their bond. But then comes the 10th grade—a year that demands serious focus on studies and exams. Yet, fate has its own plans, bringing the two back into each other's lives at a time when they least expect it. Just when they thought they had moved on, life reconnects them in a way they hadn’t imagined.
