Wait!... Pause the video!”
I exclaimed, my heart racing as a thought struck me. Wooyoung quickly hit the spacebar, freezing the frame on the screen.
“What is it?”
he asked, leaning in closer, curiosity piqued.
I squinted at the paused image, feeling a surge of excitement.
“Look at the background! That building—it looks familiar.”
I pointed toward the screen, where a vague structure was partially visible behind the girl in the video.
“I think I’ve seen that place before.”
Wooyoung furrowed his brow, glancing from the screen to me.
“Are you serious? Where?”
“It’s the old warehouse down by the docks!”
I said, recognition dawning.
“I used to walk by it all the time. It’s been abandoned for years, but if that’s where this girl is, it might lead us to more answers about Belladonna.”
He nodded, a look of realization spreading across his face.
“That could be the key! If we can figure out why the video was taken there, it might give us clues about what’s really going on.”
“Exactly! We should go check it out,”
I suggested, my adrenaline surging.
“There might be something left behind or even someone who knows more about it.”
Wooyoung glanced at me, his expression serious.
“Are you sure we should go there? It could be dangerous, especially if Belladonna is involved.”
I took a deep breath, considering his words.
“I know it might be risky, but if we don’t investigate, we could miss our chance to find out the truth. We can stick together, and I’ll be careful.”
He studied me for a moment before nodding.
“Alright, let’s do it. But we need to be cautious. We should bring flashlights and make sure our phones are charged in case we need to call for help.”
“Good idea,”
I said, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety.
“Let’s wrap up this video analysis and head out.”
As we resumed the playback, I felt a thrill at the thought of uncovering the mystery. The warehouse could hold the answers we desperately needed, and together, we were determined to get to the bottom of it.
“Also, now that I’ve seen these…”
I said, playfully squeezing his biceps, feeling the firmness beneath my fingers.
“What are these for, huh?”
I teased, a smirk spreading across my face.
Wooyoung looked down at his arms, then back at me, his expression a mix of surprise and amusement.
“Well, you know, just for show,”
he replied, flexing slightly as if to emphasize the point.
“Gotta keep up appearances, right?”
I laughed, enjoying the lighthearted banter.
“Oh, really? Is that all you’re doing with these muscles? Just showing off?”
