Pike stood in the void, trying to focus on her connection as the howling screams echoed all around her.
She snaps her eyes open with a gasp as she pants, trying to catch her breath finding herself back within the void. "Everlight? Everlight, it-it's me. Pike." she calls out to the void, gripping her amulet as her voice echos.
A sudden flash shot through her, causing her to flinch and groan. "If I ever needed you, it's now." she calls out to the void one more with a frown on her face.
"Pike Trickfoot."
A voice calls out to her, Pike's eyes lit up as the void was filled with light that shined behind her. She turns and saw the Everlight before her.
But something was wrong, her former was... dimmer. "I felt weak the moment we entered the Hells. I-I need to know you're still--" she begs of the God of the Everlight.
"Child, redemption does not exist in the realm of the damned. The Hells of Despath are forbidden."
She warns the cleric, which confuses Pike, "But why? If we find Zerxus, we'll-we'll get the vestige we need." she questions, as it was the only reason they came.
"Your soul is precious. There are those in Hell who would use it for wicked aims. Ignore my words and you will find yourself alone."
Everlight warns as she began to pull away as her light fades. Pike takes a step after her. "What does that mean?" she asks as she began to run after her.
"Everlight?" she cries out, the void began to fill in with darkness "Wait! Please!" she cries and Everlight was gone and Pike was all alone again.
Her run falters and came to a halt, fearful as thoughts of her God abandoning her fills her mind.
"Pike..."
A darker voice calls out, a shiver ran up Pike's spine as she turns her attention ahead, seeing a darker figure with orange glowing eyes that were locked on her.
An image flashes in her mind of someone with their back turn to them as his arch along side his head as he slightly turns to look over his shoulder at her.
"Pike?"
A familiar voice calls to her and a hand was suddenly on her shoulder, she gasps, snapping from her trance as she found herself back in the Hells.
"Pike?" Grog calls to her and she looks up at him as the others were looking at her, "I was calling your name." he informs with worry, Pike blinks for a moment. "Oh, I-I was just... making sure we're being looked out for." she answers as she quickly flicks her eyes away, playing it off with a smile.
"Oh. Your goddess got our backs?" Grog asks as he pressed his fist into his hand with a grin. She flicks her eyes away for a moment. "Yeah. Sure does." she answers, but frowns to herself.
Grog lets out a sigh of relief and stood to his feet "Good. 'Cause to pull this off... we're gonna need all kinds of miracles." he warns with a chuckle.
Kyria just stares down at the pit of wailing souls, her mind was spiraling with endless thoughts. What ifs and what could have been.
But a hand was placed on he shoulder and she stiffens for a moment before looking over at the person. She relaxes as it was just Vax. "Come on, we got to move." he informs.
She looks back at the vortex of souls and that unsettling feeling in her gut turns. "Ray-ray?" Vax spoke, seeing the worry in her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Lets-- lets go." she answers with a nod as she looks back at Vax.
