Over the night a broom flew just above the clouds with the moon as its only light.
Vex'ahlia kept her focus as her twin brother, Vax'ildan held on tight, looking at the clouds below them, seeing the golden light shine through them.
Once over the light, Vax let go and fell through the clouds, all fear of the fall gone from his senses as he came out the end of his long descent.
Seeing the ruins of the once great capital of Tal'Dorei, was a sight no one can forget.
But Vax remained focused on the objective, his armor flashed with light for a moment before he banthed his wings out and flew through the valley of molten lava and castigating rock formations.
He slips through a crack in the wall, sits down, quickly pulls back his wings, and slips behind a stone pillar. "Tal'Dorei's kingdoms lay broken at my feet, yet my conclave continues to fail me." Thordak.
The Cinder King himself proclaims with authority, the Dragon of Ice lowers his head before the kind. "Send me, my king. I will dispatch those that threaten you." Voragol offers the Ancient fire dragon.
"You have your talents. But with Umbrasyl fallen, Raishan's mission is more crucial than ever." Throdak warns his fellow dragon.
But they both turn, looking to where Vax concealed himself, Vorugal just sniffs the air, "We .re not alone." he declares, Vax takes a step back.
Vorugal roars as he charges toward the pillars, crushing the weight of his talons, and creating a puff of dust. Vorugal growls, awaiting the dust to settle as there is nothing by broken stone. "Something was here," he growls.
Looking around the area as he sniffs the air, Vax peeks out from here he slips and exhales too. He turns away and dashes through whatever grounds he can find.
Until he came to Throdak's greatest and most prized treasure, he just stared in horror. "What?" he mutters, taking a step back at the batches of what looks to be eggs.
Endless clutches of dragon eggs.
"Oh, Gods," he mutters, unable to grasp his mind at the sight. "Yes," Thordak calls out, Vax quickly turns around and watches as the Cinder King parches himself on the stone ridge above him.
"My children will soon be gods," he promises the champion. Vax takes another step back and using no witty comeback, he dashes away, trying to escape, with the Cinder King right on his tail.
He banthed his wings, evading the incoming snapping jaw, and took to the sky. Thordak raises his head, inhaling deep, and bursts from his snout, searing flames aim right for the rouge champion.
Vax escapes the flames, but just barely as he tumbles into a cave, quickly he pulls himself to his feet and dashes away as Thordak rams his head right into the air and lets out another breath of searing flames.
Vax moved as fast as his armor could go as the flames chased, getting close to what looked like a way out, and leaped as the flames burst from behind him, shooting out of the tunnel.
He banthed his wings once more, taking flight as he tried to escape from the city.
But as he was reaching the clouds above him, a roar echos behind him as Vorugal was chasing as he fired out a breath of ice aiming from the fleeing rogue.
The ice hits, catching Vax by surprise, entrapping one of his wings and he plummets, screaming at the top of his lungs as the ground is getting dangerously close.
"NO!"
One Day earlier...
Everyone stood at the people look at Raishan, disguised as Keeper Yennen as she stood before Vox Machina. "Thordak is becoming irrational. Insane. Intend to strip Tal'Dorei of its gold. But not to satisfy his greed." she informs as the realization clicks in Kyria of Pyrah's mind.
