Eliza wakes up on the sofa alone, remembering the events of yesterday. She rubs her eyes stifling a yawn. Checking the time, she realizes she actually woke up extra early today. Sluggishly, she drags herself up the stairs, making her way to the bathroom. Getting in the shower she begins to replay yesterday's events in her head. Realizing today they will find out what the twig situation is about. She feels a knot form in her stomach because she isn't sure she wants to know. The only example of a creepy item like that is from the conjuring movie. She really hopes that isn't what it is. Turning off the water she opens the curtain realizing she left her towel on the sink by the door. She rolls her eyes realizing she is going to have to get water all over the floor. She reaches her hand out to see if she can lean and reach it, but she can't. She sticks her hand out groaning, "Why can't it come to me."
Shock runs through her, when the towel flies over to her landing in her hand. She is too stunned to move. She clears her throat, wrapping the towel around herself. Stepping out of the shower, she walks into her bedroom still shocked.
Standing at the foot of her bed, she thinks for a moment. Mentally, she picks out an outfit. She visualizes the outfit and then pictures it lying on her bed. When she opens her eyes its there. On her bed. She jumps slightly, and then stifles a grin. She quickly puts on her clothes and goes to the bathroom. Getting another idea whilst standing in front of her mirror, she closes her eyes and pictures her hair already being brush and dried. Opening her eyes and its done. She grins uncontrollably this time. She sticks her finger out, pointing at her toothbrush. She pictures it floating out of the jar, and it does just that. She squeals excitedly.
"What is happening this is insane." She says laughing to herself. She does a few more tricks to put her shoes on, her jewelry, and her makeup. Before heading out the door.
"You look happy." Luna says as she meets Eliza next to her mailbox.
"Feeling optimistic about today is all. They giggle together before Eliza links arms with Luna and they head to the park. They sit together at the bench waiting for the other two when Eliza sits up. "Okay, so something crazy happened this morning. Don't freak out on me though okay." Eliza says to her smiley friend. Luna leans forward.
"What?" She asks, getting equally as excited.
Eliza pulls a pen out of her pocket, laying it on the table. Luna looks confused, she watches Eliza start to focus on it. The pen begins to slowly lift off the table. Luna gasps.
"Oh my goodness! You are a witch! I knew it! I totally called it!" She giggles. "Did you just find out?" Luna asks.
"Wait what?" Eliza lets out a weak laugh.
"Yea, it was kind of obvious with all of the feelings you get, you are just so tapped in and didn't even know it. It's pretty impressive. I mean I've known since I was about seven years old. But, I suppose we all blossom at different times. Rowan was ten and Mary was four." She says. Leaving Eliza at a loss for words. "Did your mom not teach of our heritage? I assumed that's why she moved you guys here. I assumed you were starting to show signs."
"Is this like a witch town or something? No, I don't think she is a witch. Also, there were no signs, things didn't get weird til we got here." She says, beginning to question everything.
"Oh, were you adopted? I mean that explain how she would have no clue. You know, it was probably fate that brought you here." She goes on.
"I'm not adopted...I don't think. She never said anything. Although, I guess it could make sense. My grandparents always were a bit distant with me, like I wasn't really family. And my dad, it was so easy for him to leave me behind." She starts going down the rabbit hole.
