A few days later, Aanya met with Sana at their usual café. As they sat by the window, Aanya recounted the texts and the strange familiarity she felt with Rohan. Sana, ever the romantic, was quick to dismiss her concerns.

"He's into you, Aanya! And honestly, who could blame him? You're amazing," Sana said, stirring her coffee. "Maybe you're overthinking it."

"I don't know, Sana," Aanya sighed. "There's just something off about the whole thing. He's... too familiar, like he knows things about me that he shouldn't."

Sana raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

Before Aanya could answer, a figure walked past the window, catching her attention. It was Rohan. He didn't see her, but the sight of him sent a wave of unease through her.

"How does he always seem to show up near me?" Aanya muttered under her breath.

Sana followed her gaze and spotted him. "Okay, that's a little weird," she admitted, frowning. "But maybe it's just coincidence?"

"Maybe..." Aanya didn't sound convinced.

That evening, as she walked home, the feeling of being watched crept up on her. She glanced around, but the streets were empty. She shook her head, trying to push the paranoia aside. But when she reached her building, she noticed a man standing near the entrance.

  It wasn't Rohan.

The man wore a long, dark coat and had a serious expression. He stepped forward as she approached, his eyes fixed on her with a sharp intensity.

"Aanya?" he asked, his voice calm but commanding.

  She hesitated. "Yes?"

"I'm Inspector Raj," he said, showing his badge. "I'm investigating a series of incidents in the area, and I'd like to ask you a few questions."

Aanya's heart raced. "What kind of incidents?"

"We've had reports of unusual behavior, possibly stalking," Raj explained, his gaze unwavering.   "I understand you've been seeing someone new—someone you don't know very well."

Aanya froze. Was he talking about Rohan?

"I... I've only met him a few times," she stammered.

"I'd like you to be careful, Aanya," Raj said, his tone softening slightly. "Sometimes people aren't who they seem to be."

As he handed her his card and walked away, Aanya felt a chill run down her spine. She clutched the card in her hand, her mind swirling with questions.

Who was Rohan, really? And what was he hiding?
