Part 8: How to Break Up with My Girlfriend?

Hera's POV

Short-haul flight lang ang shift ni Raya and Sav and Raya told me na sunduin ko siya right after her shift. I know that it somehow feels different knowing na she no longer loves me but I'm still hoping na kahit papano mabago ko pa rin yun.

I know I asked her to let me experience princess treatment, but that doesn't mean I'll stop doing the little things I've always done for her. Even if she no longer loves me, those gestures are just as important to me, and I want her to feel cherished in every way.

"So dinala mo na pala siya dito" biglang sabi ni Cole kaya naman I was pulled back away from my thoughts

Cole's currently with me sa condo. Pumunta siya kanina para tumambay since wala naman raw siyang trabaho today.

"Yeah. Para naman maggamit namin kahit papano," I replied

"Di rin kita magets. Ba't ba kasi may nalaman ka pang one condition? Alam mo bai sinasaktan mo lang sarili mo," she uttered, shaking her head and obviously showing disappointment with my decision.

"Baka sakaling mabago ko pa. Baka sakaling bumalik pa sa dati," I answered, looking down

"Ang lala mo kasi magmahal, Hera. Lahat binibigay mo," she said, looking at me

"It's different with Raya. Alam kong may pagkukulang din ako sakanya, hindi ako naging open sakanya especially with my plan. I thought na maganda if surprise but I never thought na because of that mafa-fall out of love siya," I uttered, trying my best no to cry since I'm still hopeful na maaayos ko yung relasyon namin ni Raya sa loob ng isang buwan.

"Alam mo iniisip ko lang, 'di ba marunong makuntento si Raya?" she asked kaya naman naggulat ako and I somehow felt mad with her words.

"She does! It's my fault naman talaga. Who would want to stay with someone na walang trabaho 'di ba?" I told her in a loud voice

"Yun na nga eh. Why are you keeping it from her? Wala kang trabaho but you have multiple businesses. Yes, you don't have any client as an architect but it is because you are the CEO of Skye Build & Design Inc." she answered sabay buntong hininga

"She may have fallen out of love because of the idea na wala kang trabaho, na wala kang plano for yourself and it's obviously because you're keeping everything from her," she added

"Ano nanaman pinaguusapan niyo?" Jette asked as soon as she stepped into the condo.

I asked her na pumunta dito para sabay na kami sa pagsundo kina Sav and Raya.

"Yan kasing kaibigan mo," Cole answered Jette's question

"Why are you keeping it from her ba kasi?" tanong niya sa'kin

As soon as she asked me that question, napaisip din ako bigla. Is it because 'di siya sa'kin nagtatanong? Or is it because I just told her na I'm an architect and I usually work with a client? For the past three years, 'di ko na nasabi sakaniya na I have businesses—kung ano yung pakilala ko sakaniya when we first met, yun na talaga yung alam niyang work ko kaya naisipan ko nalang to keep it a secret from her.

I want to surprise her once everything's good na and once mapakilala ko na siya kay Mom.

"I just want to surprise her once everything's settled," I answered

"Totoo ba yan? Or baka itinago mo na since natatakot ka na matulad sa ex mo na si Den—ginamit ka lang because of your money, kaya siguro naisip mo rin na mas better if 'di alam ni Raya because of your trauma," Cole said, her words caught me off guard, reigniting my anger once more.

"Can you shut the fuck up nalang? Pumunta ka ba dito to make me mad?" I asked, glaring at her

"Why? Tama ba ako?"

"Of course not! I never even thought that Raya was anything like my ex, not even once," I exclaimed, feeling the frustration bubbling inside me. She is obviously pushing my buttons.

"Really? Kaya pala nung nalasing ka nung nag-inuman tayo you told me na takot kana na maging open with Raya—takot ka nang mangyari ulit yung dati at takot kana with the thought na baka maggamit ka ulit and in the end ipagpapalit ka lang," she continued

"Can you f*cking shut up?! Leave or else I'll punch your damn face," I angrily told her, clenching my fist tightly

"Chill, okay? I'm not your enemy here. Gusto ko lang maliwanagan ka. Win her back, Hera—make her love you again," she explained, facepalming

"Leave, you pushed my buttons already," I told her

"Can you guys stop? Para kayong mga bata eh" saway ni Jette habang busy sa pagce-cellphone

"Andiyan ka pa pala, Jette" Cole uttered

"Obviously. Hinahayaan ko lang kayo mag-usap since 'di ko naman alam pinaguusapan niyo but now, may idea na ako," she said kaya naman naalala ko bigla na 'di pa pala alam ni Jette ang nangyayari sa'min ni Raya.

"I'll share it with you some other time. For now, let's go na," I told Jette since susunduin pa namin si Raya and Sav and nagplano rin ako ng double-date.
