"I already told you no." Atticus grumbled, crossing his arms. I pout and crawl into his lap, squishing his cheeks.
"But it would be such a bonding moment!" I whine, pinching his cheeks and pulling them softly. He rolls his eyes and nearly launches me off of him, sitting me beside him. I huff and cross my arms, glaring at my lap.
"Don't get sour." He huffs, his eyes back on the TV. We were both currently cooped up in the house due to being sick. 'What happened?' You may be asking.. well...

A few days had passed and my body was still achy. It was still very uncomfortable to walk but I didn't complain. And I sure don't regret it.
It was pouring down rain outside as the months got closer to winter. I stared out the window, watching the raindrops thud and hit against the window. Everyone was still asleep, tired from staying up so late last night. We had decided to have a movie marathon and see who would fall asleep first.
It was me but we don't talk about that.
I hear footsteps coming closer, making me look over my shoulder to see Atticus shirtless, his sweatpants hanging low on his waist. He rubbed his eyes, his hair unkempt and falling over his shoulders. He needed a haircut urgently.
He spotted me, stopping in his tracks and blinking lazily. I smile and stand from the stool I had dragged over, walking over to him and running my hand through his hair.
"Morning, handsome." I whisper, smiling fondly. He smirks softly before kissing my forehead, murmuring a good morning. He takes my hand in his and walks over to the kitchen, putting me up on the counter and making us coffee. I watched him move through the kitchen with ease, putting the coffee maker on and then staring at me, leaning against the counter.
"Can I cut your hair? I love the shaggy, hobo look on you but you look like Maui with wavy hair." I tease, laughing into the back of my hand when he looks at me offended. He sighs and walks over, placing himself between my legs and kissing my nose.
"Don't bald me." He grunts, placing his face in the crook of my neck and kissing softly. The man was far from a morning person and I couldn't help but find it adorable.
"I'd never." I chuckle, gently scratching his back. He hummed softly, moving his back so that I could scratch the spots he wanted me to. He looked like a bear rubbing its back against a tree.
We stayed like this for a few moments, the smell of coffee filling the air once it was done brewing. He hummed softly, kissing my neck again before leaving and pouring us some coffee. I sipped at the warm liquid, feeling it warm my whole body.
"I love the rain when it's like this." I grin, hopping down and walking back over to the window with Atticus in tow. I loved moments like this. When it was just two of us, the whole place was quiet and all you could feel was pure love and adoration.
"It feels depressing." He murmurs, wrapping his arms around my waist. Resting his chin on my shoulder. I smile and shake my head, disagreeing hard.
"It feels reassuring to know that the clouds cry too." I smile, leaning into his embrace. He chuckles softly and kisses my neck softly. "Let's go outside."
"And get sick? No thanks." He huffed, releasing me and going to sit on the couch. I grab his wrist and keep him from leaving.
"Pretty please, we won't stay out for too long so we won't get sick!" I try to convince him, he continued to shake his head but I insisted until he finally gave in. I pulled him out into the rain, jumping around happily. I hugged him tight and kissed him, the feeling of the water covering us was exhilarating.
I continued to twirl around, grinning at him when he pulled me towards him. He lifted me and spun me around, making me laugh. When he put me down, I was too dizzy to keep upright, accidentally bumping into him.
Maybe we shouldn't have stood right beside the pool...

"We had our bonding moment and now we're sick. I fear for my life now." He huffs, crossing his arms. I roll my eyes and stand up, going to the kitchen to make hot chocolate. Callan and Zachary had to go to work so it was just us. I sip at the warm liquid, feeling it move down my chest. I watched as Atticus walked in, looking at me with slightly pleading eyes.
"What?"
"Can I have some..?" He asked, sliding his hand on my hip. I narrow my eyes at him and huff, shaking my head no.
"If I give you any, it would be a bonding moment, and clearly you don't want that." I say bitterly. He sighs and kisses my forehead, then my cheek, then my nose, then my lips before whispering softly.
"Baby, I'd die a million times over and over again if it means I get to bond with you every time I come to life again."
I pout and hold out the mug to him. Curse him and his sweet words.
"I want to go watch a movie." I whisper softly, watching him take a few sips from my mug before handing it back, he leans against the counter, sniffling his runny nose before nodding.
"We can go to my room-"
"No, I mean at a movie theater. We can go watch any movie, I'm not picky." I say, downing the rest of the hot chocolate before leaning against his chest.
"Alright then, we'll go tomorrow if we feel better. And no more playing in the rain." He scolded me, making me grin and kiss him.
"You know, I would really like to tie Callan up again. I feel like the moment wasn't good enough." I whisper, cuddling into him more. He chuckles softly.
"Well, you got fucked by Cal and Zach at the same time so... I don't think you can take him right now." He says softly, petting my hair.
"Who says he's gonna be the one doing anything?" I quirk my eyebrow. He chuckles softly and shakes his head.
"If you feel better tomorrow, you can tie him up before we go to the movies. I'll book tickets for the late show ones so you'll have time." He says, pulling me away a little before walking with me to the living room and pulling me onto the couch, cuddling me to his chest.
"Do you love me?" I ask, feeling the warm chocolate and the rainy weather take a toll on my exhausted body.
"More than anything." He whispers, gently petting my hair. I hum softly and allow him to hold me tight. I inhale his scent, enjoying the way he smelt. I relax against him.
"I love you." I whisper back, falling asleep on top of him.
