"Do you seriously need to bring all of that?" Nick laughed as he watched his boyfriend attempting to zip up his weekender like his life depended on it.
"Your aunt and uncle invited me on your family holiday. The least I can do is be prepared." Charlie spoke breathlessly as he tugged at the zipper.
"But do you really need that many clothes?" Nick stretched his arms over Charlie's chest, bracing him to his own as Charlie shook his head, looking up at him with a playful frown. "Down, Nicholas."
He just smirked. "Woof."
"Just help me with this, why don't you?" A finger pokes his chest and he meekly hisses, covering the spot with his palm in mock offence. "Ow."
"You big baby." Charlie just chuckles before kissing his jaw and turning back down to continue the task of closing the bag. Nick just sighs before shaking his own head and watching him blissfully from above as he packs his own bag.
At least, that was the case before Charlie is picking up his own overstuffed one and the zip suddenly snaps, it's contents flying out in all directions like a bomb, Nick's forehead being smacked by a rogue bottle of sunscreen and leaving a red mark in it's wake.
Both of them stare at the room and then, reacher, quite bewildered before Charlie starts snickering. "Maybe there was a few too many clothes." It takes a moment, but then they both break down into uncontrollable giggles as they wade through the mess to grin at each other.
Eventually, they finally get themselves together after a few minutes, before Nick says. "Lucky I brought another bag then."
(Aunt Dianne isn't exactly pleased they are an hour late to the airport, but they make the flight on time somehow after they pack Nick's backpack together, so it's eventually laughed away as he watches Charlie's curls fry in the sun.)
