Jungkook slowly opened his eyes, realizing he couldn't feel his lower body. He looked around and saw Anjuma, who quickly walked over when she saw him awake. "Are you okay Jungkook?" she asked politely, softly patting his hair.
Jungkook just nodded as she helped him to drink some water. He lay back and tried to move, but Anjuma stopped him. "Don't move! You have to stay still; your stitches are new." Jungkook nodded and lay straight, blinking his eyes slowly.
"Wait, I'll call Taehyung," she said excitedly, running to get her phone. But before she could, Taehyung walked in with their baby, placing him in the baby carriage next to Jungkook.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook, who was staring at him. Slowly, Taehyung approached him, leaning in to press a soft kiss on Jungkook's lips, then on his forehead. He cherished him with love and softly mumbled, "Thank you, Kookie." Jungkook just stared at him without saying anything.
Time passed as Jungkook remained mostly silent, learning how to care for the baby as it became his new responsibility. Taehyung noticed everything but couldn't find the right time to talk. Finally, Jungkook was discharged from the hospital, and when they reached the mansion, Taehyung held his hand and carried the baby. Anjuma smiled at them as they entered the house.
"Taehyung, can I go to our room?" Jungkook asked softly, holding the baby in his arms. Taehyung nodded, and the maids helped Jungkook upstairs to their bedroom, as he didn't want to stay on the ground floor.
Jungkook closed the door, sitting on the bed, holding the baby. As the baby looked at him, tears started to fall from Jungkook's eyes. He stayed like that for several hours until Taehyung's yell startled him. Jungkook looked at him in shock, then glanced at his son, who was asleep, and back at Taehyung, who looked scared.
"What happened?" Jungkook asked. Taehyung cupped his face, sitting beside him. "Did I do something wrong, Taehyung? I'm sorry if I did something," Jungkook mumbled as his voice broke. Taehyung shook his head, forcing a smile. "Everything is fine, Jungkook. Just sleep for a while, and you'll feel better."
Jungkook nodded, carefully placing the baby beside him and lying on his side. Taehyung sat there, softly patting his head until Jungkook fell asleep. Once Taehyung heard him snoring, he broke down in tears. He had been calling Jungkook several times, but Jungkook hadn't responded, and the maids had told him that Jungkook had been sitting like that for three hours.
Taehyung noticed that Jungkook had started to behave differently. He would get scared easily, cry at random moments, and often act like he was expecting Taehyung to hit him or do something harsh. Worried and heartbroken, Taehyung realized these behaviors weren't normal. So, he arranged an appointment with a psychiatrist for Jungkook. He knew something deeper was wrong and wanted to help Jungkook heal, but it scared him seeing the person he loved so much in such a fragile state.
Taehyung gently patted his son's head as more tears flowed from his eyes, and he left the room, deeply worried about what the future would hold.
After a week, Taehyung entered their bedroom smiling while holding the baby. He saw Jungkook trying to find something, but Jungkook had created a mess in the room. Before Taehyung could ask, Jungkook, filled with anger, yelled, "Where is my diary?" Jungkook turned to face him, and at the loud voice, the baby in Taehyung's arms started crying.
"Calm down, Jungkook. It'll be where you left it last time," Taehyung replied. Jungkook pulled his hair in irritation as he walked out of the room, yelling from the first floor,
"Who cleaned my room today?" His voice boomed, shocking everyone. It was usually Taehyung who got angry, but today it was Jungkook.
A maid quickly ran upstairs, bowing. "I did," she replied.
Jungkook asked in a frustrated tone, "Where did you keep my diary?"
She pointed inside the room. "I put it where it was before," she said, trembling as Jungkook yelled, "Where is it now?" His voice loud and harsh, making her flinch, while Taehyung just watched his anger.
Taehyung slowly walked to calm their baby, when he spotted the diary hidden behind the headboard. "Jungkook, here's your diary," Taehyung called. Jungkook took the diary, but then snatched it roughly from Taehyung's hands.
A month passed, and Jungkook's condition worsened. He spent long hours in the bathroom, locking the door, and when he finally came out, he thought only five minutes had passed. He slept less, often sitting in one spot for hours, staring blankly at nothing.
The day finally arrived when Jungkook could go out again. Taehyung walked into the room to find Jungkook staring off into space, their baby, bunny, sleeping soundly in his lap.
"Jungkook," Taehyung called, but there was no response. He closed his eyes, bracing himself for what he knew would happen next. "Jungkook!" he yelled louder, and Jungkook flinched at the sound of his voice, startled.
Taehyung gently took bunny from Jungkook's lap and looked at him. "Come with me, we have to go somewhere," he said. Jungkook simply nodded without asking any questions, following him downstairs in silence.
Taehyung gently passed the baby to Anjuma's arms as they exited the mansion. Jungkook sat next to him, looking at his son, still sleeping. "Can't we take him with us?" Jungkook asked, and Taehyung looked at him before Jungkook looked down and mumbled, "Where are we going?" He asked, and Taehyung felt pity for himself that Jungkook had started to feel afraid of him.
He started the car and drove out of the mansion, eyes on the road, while Jungkook sat silently. Taehyung gave him a small glance, but Jungkook was lost in his own thoughts again.
Taehyung parked the car and shook Jungkook to get his attention. "We've arrived," Taehyung smiled, and Jungkook nodded and got out of the car, looking at the big buildings as they both entered inside together.
"Jungkook, sit here. I'll be back in a moment, okay?" Taehyung said softly, and Jungkook nodded, keeping an eye on everything around him.
After fifteen minutes, Taehyung returned and found Jungkook sitting in the same place, scared of something, maybe the crowd.
Taehyung held his hand, and they both started walking. Taehyung took a deep breath as they finally reached the doctor's cabin. Taehyung hesitated before entering, and Jungkook noticed his nervousness, reading the name on the door:
"Dr. Bogum, Psychologist."Jungkook's eyes widened as he leave Taehyung's hand, stepping back. Taehyung looked at him, concerned. "What's wrong, Jungkook?" Taehyung asked, walking toward him.
Jungkook looked at him, crying. "Please don't take me there. I'm not mad," he pleaded.
Taehyung try to get closer to calm him down but jungkook start screaming and crying while everyone looking at them,
"I will behave properly I promise,I don't yell on anyone I promise, I do everything you say I will sleep with you I promise but please don't-don't give me shock." He yell pulling his hairs as his hole body was trembling.
Taehyung hug him tightly without wasting a minute while jungkook just keep crying, "calm down kookie." Taehyung exhale shortly as the door of the cabin open and bogum step out side in a normal uniform.
"Hi taehyung." Bogum call out and taehyung look at him while holding a sobbing jungkook in his arms.
"You finally came to meet me with your husband." Bogum smile and look at jungkook "hi noona I am taehyung's childhood friend" bogum smile as taehyung look at him in shock and slowly nod when he saw the assuring smile on doctor's face.
"Jungkook look he is my childhood friend. We just came here to meet him." Taehyung wipe jungkook tears who look at Bogum and now very much relaxed that they are not here for him.
Taehyung entering with jungkook as he look at Bogum with his last hope—
