Y/N's POV
The first week at Hogwarts had been a whirlwind of excitement and new experiences. My schedule was packed with classes like Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I was determined to make the most of my time here, even if my nerves often got the best of me.As I walked down the stone corridors, I couldn't help but admire the moving portraits and the flickering torches that lined the walls. Hogwarts was a magical place, and each day felt like a new adventure. However, my thoughts often drifted to one person in particular: Draco Malfoy. His arrogance and confidence were intoxicating, yet infuriating. I found myself drawn to him, despite the warnings from Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Draco had a way of making me feel alive, and I couldn't shake the thrill I felt whenever he was around."Hey, Y/N!" Hermione's voice pulled me from my thoughts as she caught up with me in the hallway. "Ready for Potions?""Yeah, I think so," I replied, forcing a smile. "How hard can it be?"Hermione chuckled, but I noticed her concern. "Just be careful. Snape can be... intense.""Got it," I said, mentally preparing myself for the class as Hermione swiftly moved into class. Just then, I felt a familiar presence behind me.
"Y/N," Draco's voice broke through the chatter in the hallway. My heart skipped a beat as I turned to face him, his expression a mix of playful and serious."Malfoy," I said, trying to keep my tone casual. "Mind if I have a word?" He stepped closer, his pale blue eyes glinting with mischief."What about?" I asked, feigning nonchalance even as my stomach fluttered.Without warning, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into an empty classroom, closing the door behind us. The air was thick with tension, and I felt my breath catch in my throat.
"I want to know why you keep hanging out with Pottah, Weaslbee and that Mudblood," he said, leaning against the door with a smirk. "You're too interesting to waste your time with them.""Interesting?" I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms. "You're one to talk, Draco. What's wrong with being friends with them?"
He stepped closer, his voice dropping to a low, teasing tone. "They're not exactly the best company. They'll drag you down, you know. You'd be better off with me."I swallowed hard, feeling heat rise in my cheeks. "And why would I want to hang out with you, Malfoy?""Because I'm fun," he replied, a charming smile spreading across his lips. "And you know you're curious about me."
I hesitated for a moment, considering his words. The air between us felt electric, and I couldn't deny that the idea of spending more time with him was tempting. "What makes you think you're so great?""Maybe it's my dazzling good looks," he said, running a hand through his platinum hair. "Or maybe it's my charming personality.""More like your arrogance," I shot back, but there was a smile tugging at the corners of my lips.
He stepped even closer, I walked backwards only to find him towering over me with my back against the wall, invading my personal space. "Is it working?"I felt my pulse quicken as I looked up at him, the teasing glint in his eyes making my heart race. "Maybe," I admitted, unable to fight the smile that broke through. He smirked at me and looked into my eyes, I wonder what he saw in them. Within a second he was out of the room, leaving me alone to deal with the million butterflies I felt in my stomach.
Draco's POV
I couldn't believe how easily I'd pulled her into this classroom, how quickly the atmosphere had shifted. Y/N was captivating, and every moment I spent with her made me want her more. Watching her smile, her defiance... it all drove me wild.
As I leaned in, I felt a thrill at how close we were. I knew she was different from the others; she didn't shrink away from my presence. There was something fierce and intriguing about her that I wanted to explore. "Think about it, Y/N," I said, my voice low and teasing. "You know I'm worth the risk."Her cheeks flushed, and I felt a sense of satisfaction. She was falling for me, and I had no intention of letting that go.
Y/N's POV
After our encounter, I made my way to class, my mind still spinning.
The entire day, all I waited was for to go back to the common room and tell Remus about my first week at Hogwarts. Finally, the day was over and I rushed to my dorm. I quickly sat down at a table, pulling out a piece of parchment and a quill.
Dear Remus,I hope you're doing well! Hogwarts is incredible! I've met so many interesting people and taken my first classes. Potions with Snape is a bit intimidating, but I think I'll manage. The castle is beautiful, and I feel like I'm living in a dream.
Could you believe that I met Harry on the train ride to Hogwarts! I have been having a splendid time with him and his friends; Ron Weasely and Hermione Granger.
I've also met Draco Malfoy. He's... different. He can be arrogant, infuriating and especially cocky, but there's something about him that draws me in. I'm trying to stay focused on my studies, but I can't help but think about him sometimes.
I'll keep you updated on everything. Love you and Miss you!
xoxo,Y/N.
As I folded the letter and sealed it, I couldn't shake the feeling that my life was about to become even more complicated, especially with Draco Malfoy in the picture. But for now, I was ready to embrace whatever Hogwarts had in store for me.
Authors Note:
Draco's making some serious moves, but is he really into Y/N or is he just playing with her? I can't wait for the next part!! I would love to see if you guys had any ideas or recommendations!!
