I hopped on the bus, a little early but I couldn't wait at home any longer. I got to the shops about 20 min early, so I decided to wander around a bit. There were a lot of different stores from large department stores, small chain stores, and small specialty stores that covered everything but specialty stuff for cars and bikes, which is in a business area across the main road. I got to the food court on time and everyone else showed up within about 5 minutes. After saying hi, the girls admired what the others were wearing (I didn't feel I could say anything, but they all looked good even though very casual) and decided what we would get for lunch, we started to chat about the plan while eating. I thought we would just wander over to one of the department stores and get anything I needed from there, I was wrong.

Shannon started "ok so the first stop is Kmart for some underwear, she needs a few of her own and they're good but cheap."

"I don't know what size I'd need, and I doubt I'll be able to try anything on."

Ashlee said, "I have my Mum's sewing tape measure. I told her it was to make finding costumes quicker." She smiled at that thought.

Shannon, "OK that should make things simpler. So right after lunch Josh, go the bathroom and measure yourself, your waist, hips, over your nipples, and about a 3rd of the way down your chest."

"You mean like where it would sit under breasts?"

"Exactly. We won't worry about much else. Record it on your phone and I'd recommend using the facilities as well. We only have about an hour and a half, so I'd rather not have to stop for the bathroom.

Melissa added, "I'll go too then, just to be safe." Said with a smile. We all laughed, well giggled, but it didn't register with me at that moment.

Shannon continued, "After Kmart, I was thinking of going to something like JJ's or Cotton On, to find a cute simple skirt and casual top that will be nicer than Kmart but still cheap."

Ashlee said, "I really like that idea, I saw some nice black minis at JJ's the other day with a little flair that should give her a bit more shape. Plus, they have so many cute tops with cartoon and anime characters I'm sure we'll find something."

I said, "Sounds like an idea. I'm not sure what we'll find though."

Shannon continued, "Ok, JJ's first then cotton on if we don't have any luck. The final stop will be Target for some nice sandals and a summer dress. All the summer stuff is on sale so we should find something nice and cheap."

"Do I really need shoes for this experiment, I mean my sneakers are clean and reasonably new."

"Your sneakers will be fine for the skirt and top but not a summer dress. Besides, I think you'll love some nice strappy sandals with a little heel. We kind of think you might end up being a bit of a girly girl." She smiled at me which helped me relax a little, I was still really nervous and wasn't sure if it would all fit in my backpack, and I had no idea where I'd keep stuff at home.

Melissa could tell I was thinking about that and added, "Don't worry about carrying things, everyone will think you're being a gentleman by carrying our shopping and I'm sure you can get it to fit in your bag well."

Shannon finished, "So that's our plan of attack. We won't worry about makeup or anything today, I don't think she'll need much anyway and I'm happy to share for today."

We finished lunch, and I went and measured myself, and showed the girls the measurements, with Ashlee saying, "Wow you have as good a hip-to-waist measurement as I do." That wasn't the first time I'd heard that but this time it felt good, and I gave a little bashful smile. We then headed to Kmart to find some underwear. We ended up getting a 2 pack of "boy leg" underwear one in black and one in white, with a couple of matching padded t-shirt bras, they got an A cup as they said it would be better than having to pack it and the padding would give me the illusion of a bust. I had to trust them on that, but they haven't done anything that would have made me doubt them.
