When I woke up Monday morning, I saw a message from Ashlee. "Good morning my amazing girlfriend. I hope you slept well."

I was still a bit groggy, so I went to the bathroom first then came back to my phone. I saw a message from Amy, but I would deal with that next. "I slept well, not as good as the night before but I had some lovely dreams last night."

"Oh, what were they about?"

"I can't remember but I know I felt happy and content. Maybe I was dreaming about spending time with my beautiful girlfriend."

"Stop it you, I won't be able to put my phone down long enough to get dressed. Are you excited for this week in drama, we've only got this week for rehearsal and then it's show time."

"Yes, I'm looking forward to it. I think I'm ready to show everyone how good I am as a girl."

"Are you going to say anything to the others?"

"Not yet but I'm excited to be on that stage as a girl."

"Fair enough. I know you'll be great."

"Thanks, I know you will be too. I'm glad I can help make you look good while you're on stage."

"Ok, enough, I'll see you later."

I had a look at Amy's message. "Hi Jocelyn, would it be possible to get another ticket with our three for your performance? My dad asked me to get one for him."

I looked at it for a little while, this could be some progress. "I'm not sure I'll have to see when I get to class. Is everything going well?"

"Yes, Dad asked me to get him a ticket. He said if the rest of the family is going then he should go to see his child's friend perform."

"That sounds like progress. I'll do my best. I might be able to sneak in an extra chair with yours if needed. I think it will be ok though, last I heard we hadn't sold out yet."

"Thank Jocelyn. Please let me know as soon as you can."

"Ok have a good day."

" too."

That sounded like progress. He's still not calling Amy his daughter but still acknowledging that she is his child is progress. I got to school and asked about the tickets. The teacher said it was not an issue and there was a seat next to the 3 Amy already had. I messaged her then, with the teacher's permission and she got back to me by the end of class saying that her dad would call the school office and pay for it today.

The whole class was getting excited about the performance. We had a costume fitting for the girls who were playing the rowers as we all had to look the same for part of the show. Erma was part of the costume crew with three other girls who would help us backstage to get changed during the play and help with the costumes leading up. Erma got me to try on the suit. I was a little uncomfortable about showing everyone my body at this moment but she took me to an area behind a curtain at the back of the classroom so I could try it on there. I quickly put the outfit on. It was a one-piece Lycra suit with a sleeves v-neck top and attached knee-length shorts. We were told to wear a white sports bra underneath and our own underwear. I knew that the professionals would wear tight swim bottoms underneath if anything at all, but we didn't have to go that far. I tucked myself away and came out from behind the curtain so Erma could check the fit. "You look good girl," she said, "I can see you are starting to become more feminine."

I smiled and asked, "What do you mean, I don't really have breasts yet and I'm still quite straight."

"No, you're not that straight anymore, you might not see it but the padding in your bra is adding to the slightly swollen nipples. Things are happening girl. I swear your skin looks better."
