Kairi returned home after finishing her work at the bakery, She was holding a box of cake as she hummed to herself and began walking, Until she noticed someone in the living room as Kairi had a small smile on her face.
It was Benjamin, He finally returned home after his long shift at the police department, He was asleep in the couch as Kairi placed the box on the table and began walking towards him, She sat next to him and slowly pulled him to her lap.
Kairi: Poor Benji, always working too hard but never finds time to take care of himself.
She whispered softly and frowned, Kairi knew he had been working hard for the last two years to stop the crime that happened in Gotham and she always felt bad knowing he couldn't take care of himself properly which is why Kairi was always worried about him.
She kissed the top on his head and caressed his hair.
Kairi: Aishitemasu (I love you)
Benjamin: I love you too.
Her eyes widened as Benjamin turned around and smiled at her, He woke up when he felt her soft hands caressing his hair, Kairi smiled and lightly smacked his face as Benjamin chuckled
Kairi: Go back to sleep, love.
Benjamin: I'll try, Cause an angel is putting me to sleep.
Kairi blushed and giggled as Benjamin was smiling at her and touched her cheek.
Kairi: You're exhausted, Benjamin. I want you to rest now.
Benjamin: True. . . But wanna know the good news?
Kairi: What?
Benjamin; I'm taking time off, so I'll be spending more time with my future wife.
Kairi looked shocked as she had a huge smile on her face, Kairi felt excited and happy that Benjamin was taking time off. he really deserves a break.
Kairi: That's amazing! I'm been meaning to ask you, You deserve a break from work.
Benjamin: *Smiles* Yeah, I really missed being with you, and i hope we can catch up and spend more time together.
He continued touching her cheek as Kairl took his hand and placed a kiss on it before she rested her face in it.
