Adriel POV

"You can leave now," I wave off the men I had just hired to assist me. Thankfully, Terra hadn't called after that day. If he was about to do something to Monte, he'd show it to me. I think about what he must be doing right now.

I had formed a plan with Theo and the planning team. The men I had hired and the Vercetti gang members were preparing themselves for tomorrow. With a sigh, I get out of the hospital bed. I glance out the window and then the door when I hear a knock.

I smile to myself, "Finally."

Monte POV

I wipe my mouth after he had just kissed me. Gross...

I stand up and so does Val. She walks over to me and we look at Terra who was leaned back on the couch and smirking at me. She leads the way, holding my arm and we head to the kitchen. She pushes me against the kitchen counter and leans in close, "I think he doesn't believe you. He still talks about Adriel in front of you."

"What would happen if I said me and Adriel have a close relationship?" I ask, curious. She smirks, "I don't think you quite understand what kind of person Terra is."

I stay quiet, that's true. She continues, "Even though they were extremely close as kids, they're sworn enemies now. You saw how easily they shot and stabbed one another." I nod slightly.

"If Terra gets his hands on something or someone precious to Adriel, he'll destroy it right in front of him. That's how its been for the past few years." She begins to get off, but I had more question. I pull her close from her waist and whisper, "But I'm not even precious to him. Why is he letting me roam around the house. I'm a captive, shouldn't I be tied up or locked somewhere?"

Val smirks, "Didn't know you were into that." Her expression changes just as suddenly to a stern one, "He's most likely confused about your relationship with Adriel. But why he's letting you roam around freely, I don't know. He's planning something dangerous, and I'll get you out soon."

I nod and she leaves. I navigate my way back to the room I had woken up in and lock the doors. I glance out the window and see two guards at the bottom. Of course they're watching there. One of them looks up and I stare down at him. He looks away and I lay on the bed, not knowing what to do. For now, I'd have to stick with Val and stay away from Terra.

He 'Terra'fies me.

I facepalm. That's how you know I'm bored out of my mind.

Hours go by with me just laying there. An unfamiliar woman had come in to give me food and water, and I was back to laying down. Once it had turned night, I shut my eyes while trying my best to go to sleep. I couldn't. An uneasy feeling coursed through my body and I jolt up to the sound of the door being unlocked and opened.

I stay under my blanket, pretending I was asleep. If it was the lady who brought food, she'd put it on the table and leave. If it was Val, she'd wake me up. The person didn't do any of those and I hear them walk to the foot of the bed. It was either some random guard or worse, the 'Terra'fier.

My light had been switched on and the person then walks to the side of my bed. "I know you're awake." I hear Terra's low voice. The bed dips down from his weight and I keep my eyes shut. He remove the blanket from my head and plays with my hair between his fingers. I feel his lips press down on my neck and he inhales.

I had to choose between two options: Either beat the shit out of him right now and hold him hostage as I attempt to leave. OR... Pretend to stay asleep, wait for him to get bored and leave, then discuss what to do with Val.
