Expect the Unexpected

Chapter 6

Pikachu (in Dawn's body) opened the door to let Chloe (in Leafeon's body) Ashley (In Glameow's body), Glameow (in Ashley's Body), Dawn (in Pikachu's body), Quilava (in Buneary's body), Buneary (in Quilava's body) Eevee (in Gallade's body) outside, where they followed Pikachu on the path to Mesprit with Dawn on Pikachu's shoulder giving directions while the others acted like Pikachu's Pokémon.

Luckily most of them are used to strange things and being a Pokémon, so when coming across a trainer, they could still fight. Luckily they did not need too since they reached the lake with Mesprit quite quickly.

"Hello!" Dawn called. "Mesprit! It's me Dawn! We need some help reversing being body swapped."

"How did that happen?" Mesprit telepathed as she showed up in front of them.

"So what happened is..." Dawn explained, causing Mesprit to shake her head.

"Sounds like a legendary is traveling there, and the body swap was a defense mechanism for the psychic intrusion." Mesprit sighed. "I can fix you, but I'll need all of you in the same spot for it to work. I should also meet this incoming legendary, and it'll be an hour before I can make preparations to leave my lake. Just play or something till then and I'll be back."

For the next hour they played several games to get used to each other's bodies, before deciding to take a nap. When Mesprit returned from her cave she noticed Dawn sleeping on Pikachu's chest. Ashley and Chloe curled up around each other, and the others taking pictures, until Mesprit woke them up. After getting her own pictures of course.

"Ok! So are you guys all ready to head back?" Mesprit asked them with a cheeky little grin on her face and a hint of amusement in her tone.

They all nodded and with no other words exchanged between them, Mesprit closed her eyes and concentrated on the source of psychic energy enveloping the area that the others were nearby.

They then teleported back to the contest hall where Mesprit fixed everyone back to normal just in time for the weird energy to coalesce into the legendary Pokémon...

"Uh-oh!" Ashly and Dawn both exclaimed in unison as they watched the two energies collide with one another. "What's going on?"

Ashly was just about to call out for Espeon and Umbreon to come and help Mesprit, but before she could give the two eeveelutions a command, the two other lake guardians appeared in a bright flash of white light.

"Woah! Hey guys! look at that!" Dawn exclaimed, pointing to where the two other lake guardians were floating in the air in a protective circle around their sister.

"It's the other two lake guardians!" Ashly said with a bright smile forming on her face. "Azelf and Uxie are lending Mesprit some of their power!"

"Wow! That's so cool!" Chloe replied in aw, her eyes wide with both shock and amazement as she watched the lake trio flight back against the unknown force of powerful psychic energy coming from whatever or whoever this legendary Pokémon is that's been causing so much trouble.
