Chloe, Dawn, and Zoey had managed to get to the battle round, and first up of the friends were Chloe, and Dawn.
"Piplup, Pachirisu, spotlight!" Dawn called.
"Ashley, Eevee, showtime!" Chloe called, deciding to use her own entrance phrase, though she thought it could be better.
"I won't go easy on you just because you're my friend," Dawn called, though only Chloe, Ashley, and Zoey knew she was talking to both Chloe and Ashley and not just to Chloe. "Piplup use bubble beam on Ashley and Pachirisu use Spark on Eevee."
"I'm not holding back either," Chloe responded with a determined look in her eyes. "Now, let's get this battle started."
"Eevee use copycat to counter Spark. Ashley try to use a Shadow ball to absorb the Bubble beam." Chloe called remembering when in practice, Ashley absorbed another Shadow ball when Eevee used Copycat, and it was the first thing she thought of, as Eevee and Pachirisu hit each other while covered in electricity.
Ashley didn't know if she could, but for Chloe she was going to try. She created a Shadow ball in front of her, and kept charging energy into it as she held it in front of the bubble beam. In the end only her strong will, kept it from falling apart, and even then it was a struggle.
"That worked!" Chloe said to herself in shock. "Now throw it at Pachirisu! Eevee use copy cat to use spark on Piplup."
This caused alot of damage, since they were too shocked at Eevee's shadowball absorbing the bubble beam to counter, leading to Pachirisu being hit by the combined Shadow ball and bubblebeam, while Piplup was hit by the copycatted spark, other dealing massive damage, and taking out alot of points.
"Piplup use Drill peck. Pachirisu use Superfang." Dawn recovered, deciding to avoid ranged attacks so it is not absorbed.
"Eevee use copy cat on drill peck and start fencing. Ashley let it hit." Chloe called causing Eevee to gain an energy based spinning beak that she used to fence with Piplup, who since Piplup was spinning his entire body, while Eevee was not, made him so dizzy that he could not fence for long and lost the attack, before getting knocked back. Meanwhile Ashley looked back at Chloe trying to figure out why, when she smirked as Pachirisu got too close to stop. "Counter!"
"No!" Dawn cried as Ashley smirked as well, as she glowed red, and when Pachirisu latched on blasted back with twice the power knocking her out, and aiming so she would be knocked into Piplup, knocking him down.
"Double Shadow ball!" Chloe called, as Ashley sent a Shadow ball, that Eevee copycatted to send one as well, leading to the two merging into one big Shadow ball that while Piplup barely held on, it still knocked out the rest of the points, giving Chloe the win.
"Yes! We did it!" Chloe said in happiness, hugging Ashley and Eevee. "Thanks to you we were able to win the battle! Great job you two!" she smiled up at Ashly, who was sitting on top of her head.
We did it!" Chloe said in happiness, hugging Ashley and Eevee.
"Good job," Dawn said congratulating them. "That absorbing Shadow ball took us by suprise."
"I remembered Ashley using it to absorb another Shadow ball and it was the first thing I thought of," Chloe said. "Great match."
"Will the coordinators please clear the field for the next contestant?" they called, causing them to head off the field with Ashley, Eevee, Piplup, and Pachirisu being returned to their pokeballs.
