The next day after Christmas, the trio unfortunately had to go back to work and Isabella was not feeling it. She had already received two warning pops to her bottom which resulted in dramatic tears. Both adults knew she had just received a firm pat on the bottom and not real pops, chuckling quietly as the seemingly "grown" Isabella was having a full on tantrum in the kitchen while they were preparing their coffees for the morning. Although feeling big, Isabella reached her arms up towards Carina, silently pleading to be held so she could avoid getting into more trouble with the wives. Relieved, her Momma picked her up and held her close while swaying them as Carina waited for her espresso to brew from their machine. The Italian lightly bounced the girl in her arms, whispering sweet and motivational words about how great the day would be. Isabella sniffled in response, laying her head on the brunette's shoulder as she nodded her head in response to her Momma.

Her fingers entered her mouth, watching her Moms run around the kitchen trying to finish their coffee and packing bags while she remained unhelpful gladly. She was too tired to do anything, she did not want to go to work today and she just wanted to nap all day. She wasn't sure why she was feeling bratty and sad but she wasn't liking the feeling either. Carina carried the younger woman to the car, buckling her in her car seat even though she wasn't little, which seemed to send Isabella over the edge. She kicked her feet and began crying, trying to unclip herself from the car seat as Carina closed the door in response. Her cries seemed to grow louder even with the doors closed, the Mothers began gathering all their bags needed for the day. They loaded the bags into the trunk and got into the car, trying to calm the girl down but her feelings were now hurt that they even tried to ignore her emotions on the matter.

For once, they left the girl alone to her own emotions. They had no idea how to calm her down. Carina was driving so she couldn't nurse, Maya was attempting but Isabella was just smacking her hands away and they were all running late for their shifts. This wasn't how the Mothers wanted to start their day but they all were already tired and they had only woken up an hour ago. As they dropped Maya off, Maya kissed the girl's head even though Isabella tried to turn away. Maya knew they both would regret it if she didn't kiss her goodbye so she dealt with the grumpy girl pushing her away and forced a kiss to her head. Carina drove away quickly, trying to make it to work on time so she could prepare for surgery and drop Isabella off to Addison or Amelia's office. She felt guilty that she seemed not as patient with the girl but she was just trying her best.

Isabella had cried herself out by the time they made it to work. With a runny nose and tear marks on her rosy cheeks, Carina did her best to quickly clean the girl's face while Isabella allowed the brief interaction. Her momma helped her from the car seat and handed the girl her own bag before grabbing her purse. Isabella grumpily accepted the Italian's hand in her own but melted once Carina squeezed her hand softly three times before stopping them in the parking lot.

"I'm sorry Mama and I seemed less patient this morning my Bambina. Why are we having a grumpy morning, mi amor?" The Italian pressed gentle kisses all over the girl's face, taking her time to slow Isabella's movements and thoughts down as the girl happily accepted. Isabella's eyes filled back up with tears as her bottom lip began wobbling, pushing her face into her Momma's sweater as she finally let out exhausted sobs.

"Didn't sleep well last night in my crib then you guys were rushing me all morning and.. and got popped and Mama used her scary voice. M sorry I was being bad, Momma" the smaller brunette rushed out, her headspace visibly in between as Carina listened to the explanation. The Italian bent down to be closer to the girl, continuing to press more kisses to her face as she hugged the girl tightly.

"Why didn't you call for Mommy and Mama last night? We would've come to get you Bella! Si, sometimes when we are rushing in the morning and a little girl doesn't want to cooperate, Mama might lose her patience and get her Mama voice on. Mommy will speak to her today, ok?" The Italian murmured out, validating the girl in her emotions for once this morning while she held Isabella to calm her down before work. She didn't care if they were going to be a few minutes late for shift, her baby's happiness and mental health was more important to her.
