It's me rereading chapter 3 and realizing the very beginning doesn't make sense. Respectfully, I'll change it soon 💀 evidently my brain has multiple ideas of events. I appreciate the reads i have gotten so far, just let me know if you like it or not!

Isabella snapped awake, sweat beading on her forehead as she breathed heavily. The room was pitch black, the full moon offering minimal light through the curtains as she looked over at the alarm clock on the night stand. 5:30 a.m, freaking crazy on a day off. She couldn't pinpoint what woke her up, the bed felt wet and she was praying it was from all the sweat. Why the hell was it so hot in here? She threw the comforter off but noticed the wet patch around her bottom half. Her breath hitched and hot tears began spilling down her cheeks but then she felt Amelia turn over in bed. She covered her mouth so she wouldn't wake the woman up and give away what happened. How could she be so stupid and weak? She got to work placing a towel on top and below the sheet, trying her best to stay quiet as she rummaged through the spare dresser for some clothes. She was relieved upon seeing some yoga pants and a tank top, grabbing the soiled clothes off the floor and throwing them in the washer after being on the hunt for it. She grabbed her phone, thanking Amelia silently the woman knew to pack her headphones for the sleepover. She quietly slipped out the front door, thankful the moon was lighting the street up so she could see her running route. Even though she had a week off, it was no excuse to allow her exercise to have a week off. Amelia was always worried about her working out too much but Isabella wasn't. It was her own coping mechanism, even if she pushed herself too much. She felt it proved to everyone she was tough and could handle whatever life decided to throw at her. She put both headphones in before beginning to jog before breaking out in a full sprint down the road, noticing a park up ahead. I'll just have a quick run in the park and come back before anyone wakes up, she thought to herself before doing just that. She got so into the zone, she hadn't even noticed the time that had passed. The sun was coming up and the ducks were even waddling throughout the park as if to say Hello to whoever would give them attention. She sat on a bench, heaving trying to catch her breath and her ankle was throbbing from the excessive workout she just had. She was absolutely drenched in sweat and she prayed she could sneak back into their friend's house without any commotion. She was so wrong.
Back at the house, all three women were frantic trying to find the brunette. Amelia was the first to wake up. Isabella was a cuddler in her sleep, even if the girl didn't know that and once she woke up, feeling the rough fabric of the towel she shot right up searching for her. Upon moving the towel and finding the wet patch, she panicked. She knew the girl had to have had a nightmare and she felt so guilty for not waking up when it happened but when she ran to the bathroom to check for her, she wasn't there. Carina was in the kitchen already, getting her espresso ready while brewing coffee for the others, confused on why Amelia looked so frantic. "I can't find Isabella, the sheets are wet and she's gone" Amelia rushed out, running around the house and Carina stared at her wide eyed trying to process what she was saying. She ran to the washing machine and found the soiled clothes as she ordered Amelia to throw the sheets in with them in order to ground the woman to calm down. Carina quickly went to the master bedroom, shaking Maya awake and telling her what was happening. Maya shot up, not really understanding what was happening but judging by how thick Carina's accent was poking out, it couldn't have been anything good. She stumbled into the living room to see Amelia shaking and going crazy while Carina tried to calm her down. Carina explained what was happening and Maya had an idea of what Isabella doing, given they were both first responders and had a strict mindset on their routines. She went into the guest room, looking for her own spare running outfit noticing it was gone. She walked out to the living room and sat next to Amelia to calm her down. "She's just gone on a run Amelia, it's going to be ok and she is going to come back. We can talk to her about it as soon as she does. How about we try to text or call her?" Maya, for once, was being level headed and not dramatic like she normally could be. Of course, why didn't I think of that? Carina thought and she pulled Amelia's phone out and began dialing Isabella's phone.
