Chapter 43

Season 3 episode 6

You walk the halls and Kurt comes storming out of Coach Sylvester's office.

"Kurt, what's the problem?" You match his pace.

"That stupid Sue, she is spreading lies about my dad to all of Ohio and Brittany is lying in her campaign. It's just frustrating." Kurt sighs.

"Yeah, I get that." You nod.

You keep walking with Kurt, until you see Santana. Santana glares at you and Kurt talking and starts walking over. You notice it and quickly walk away from Kurt and hold Santana back.

"Santana, don't. I was talking with my friend, it had nothing to do with Glee Clubs."

"You have to stop talking to the enemy Y/n."

"Why?"

"Because, they are the enemy. They could try to manipulate you to tell our secrets to them. Stop it." Santana warns you and turns around. You just roll your eyes.

You go to your classes and then you get a text, it was from Shelby, telling us to meet her in the auditorium because she had something to show us. You look to Santana and she looks as confused as you. You nod and turn back to the teacher. When class is over, you head to the auditorium with all of the troubletones. When you get there, the New Directions are also walking on stage. Santana leads the group and starts throwing insults around. You look at the New Directioners with regret in your eyes and some of them smile back at you. You tried to stop Santana from insulting them, when you were still backstage and saw them already. She didn't listen, so you stayed a bit behind. You don't condone Santana's behaviour, but showing that we are divided in front of the others is kind of embarassing. Just as you think it's gone on long enough and you are paving your way forward to stop Santana, someone starts playing the guitar and you hear Shelby singing. You stand back a little more.

You can pretend you are one of the unnamed cheerleaders

"Mr. Shue, Shelby, I think we can all admit that that was weirdly amazing. But what exactly was the point?" Rachel asks. 

"That sometimes bringing together two conflicting things can create something totally unexpected." Mr Shue answers. You smile.

"We're not combining Glee Clubs, Mr. Shue." Mercedes says quickly.

"That's not what I'm talking about. Shelby and I agree that with Sectionals coming up for both of us, it's time we all got serious with some friendly competition." Mr Shue says.

"Each group's going to put together their own mash-up to perform head-to-head." Shelby continues.

"For the first annual McKinley High" Mr Shue continues.

"Mash-Off." They say together. You laugh. Everyone starts cheering, but you see Santana looking weirdly, she is already thinking about some plan.

You are walking with Santana and Brittany in the hallway. You almost bump into Finn. Santana starts insulting him immediately, but when you walk away, Finn says something back in return.

"Hey, Santana, you look like an ass-less J.Lo." Finn tries.

"You're skinny like all the crops failed on your family's farm." That Irish kid says. You snicker a little.
