"Okay, baby, I'll see you later." He kissed her cheek and walked away. Janet smiled and headed to her class. She was extremely happy for some reason. It just seemed like she woke up about a week ago and was in an amazing mood. Everything in her life just seemed to be going perfectly.
"Janet!" She turned and saw Tina and Gil coming towards her.
"Hey, guys. What's up?"
"What's up?" Gil held his arms up in confusion. "We haven't seen you in a week. We tried to find you at the party, but it's like you disappeared."
"I'm sorry guys. I don't remember much after talking with Tina. I must've drank too much."
"But, J, we didn't drink. You didn't want to."
"Oh, well, I don't know what happened." She looked at her watch. "Let's get to class though." They started walking.
"But that still doesn't account for this past week. We haven't seen you in the dorms, in class or around campus. Where you been?"
"Hey, baby!" Janet turned around and saw Rene running towards her.
"Hey, bae."
"Bae?" Tina and Gil looked at each other in confusion.
"You left your textbook in my dorm. Here." He handed her the book.
"Thanks. I would've been so lost." She smiled.
"We can't have that." Rene held her waist and gave her a kiss. "I'll see you for dinner."
"Okay."
"Bye." He walked off and Janet blushed as she headed to class.
"What the hell was that?" asked Tina.
"What?"
"You and Rene. I thought you hated him." said Gil.
"He's actually not so bad. He's pretty cool. We've been hanging out since the party."
"That's where you went?"
"Well, I don't remember the party, but I remember the morning after." Janet giggled.
"What do you mean the morning after?" Janet smirked.
"So....Rene and I hooked up."
"What?" They both said.
"Yeah, I woke up....next to him...naked. At first, I was freaking out because I usually don't do the hookup thing. But we talked and he calmed me down. He checked up on me later on and we've just been talking ever since." They entered the classroom and sat down.
"Janet, that doesn't sound weird to you?" asked Tina.
"Why would it?"
"Because you don't drink, but you blacked out and woke up in his bed, naked."
"Who knows? They probably put alcohol in that juice."
"They didn't and how could you date him after...." Tina stopped herself. "...after our talk." Janet sighed.
"Tina, you made things clear and I accepted that."
"But...that's not what..."
"Alright class, everyone settled down." The professor spoke.
"Listen, Tina, we've had our fun and you made it known that you don't want what I wanted. It hurt, but I've accepted it and value our friendship. I'm with Rene now." Janet and Tina looked at each other for a second.
