Chapter 7

POV Ana

Talking to KK was easy, she was so nice and funny as hell. Turns out we live like 45 minutes away from eachother in Wisconsin so we had alot to talk about. What surprised me was how quickly she got me to open up, since what happened between Ryan and I freshman year I have learned to build walls around myself. The only way I let people in is if they listen to my music, and they really hear the lyrics, but with KK it was different. I opened up to her about why I had to leave and how I knew Ryan. I can see the empathy in her eyes as she puts her hand on top of mine and gives it a squeeze.

"Ana, I am so sorry he did that to you. Hes a dick" KK said under her breath so he doesn't hear. Of course we are sitting right next to him and Paige, I can feel her eyes on our hands before she quickly looks away.

"Honestly its fine, I am kinda over it, I do think we need to talk tho. Just so I can get some closure he tried talking to me today outside but I'm not in the mood to rehash old memories here right this second. Im still trying to get comfortable with my surrounds then we can talk." I say. KK nodded her head agreeing with me.

"Ladies and Gentlemen we will be starting karaoke in about 5 minutes, please come sign up" we hear over the speakers as the DJ makes the announcement.

"Gurll you are so doing that, I havent heard you sing. Come on what song you wanna do?" KK says while dragging me towards the stage.

Looking over the songs he has I land on 20 something by Sza and pick that song. KK looks over my shoulder and starts to jump saying how that her fav song at the moment.

After singing I make eye contact with Paige her mouth slightly a jar, looking at me like I'm the most perfect thing ever. I often get nervous right before I sing and I don't like hearing myself that's why I don't have any videos of me singing up on my social media, but to get that reaction outta Paige I would post my videos everywhere.
"Gurl boo, I know you were good but you didn't tell me you were that good. Why aren't you signed to label yet" KK says as she runs up and hugs me. I just laugh at her silly antics. After a couple more people sing the DJ starts to play more club dance music and me a KK dance the night away.

POV Paige
My eyes haven't left her since she walked off the stage. Shes laughing and dance around with KK.
" I am so fucked" I say to myself while watching this angel right in front of me.
