Hey Diary!

Guess what? It's my first time writing in you! I'm Ishaan, and well...

I'm an orphan, but honestly, I feel like the luckiest guy. I'm blessed to have two kind souls in my life, Aunt Rachana and Uncle Nikhil.

Though they never had children of their own, they have always nurtured Jaya and me as their own. Their love for me is unconditional.

Aunt Rachana gave me this diary and told me to write whatever is in my heart. She is the most compassionate person I know. Uncle Nikhil is 50% strict and 50% gentle, but he's still a role model for me.

My heart longs to call them Mom and Dad. One day, when I'm old enough, I will. I'll announce to the world that they are my parents.

Tara's POV

I closed the diary, realizing that this was how much love Ishaan had for Rachana and Nikhil when he was 13 years old

I closed the diary, realizing that this was how much love Ishaan had for Rachana and Nikhil when he was 13 years old. But now, in the present, all I ever see is hatred in his eyes for them.

I took a deep breath. Even though Ishaan writes kind things about me in his diary, he has distanced himself from me throughout our three years of marriage.

I don't understand this man. I remember seeing his affection for Mr. Nikhil and Mrs. Rachana Divan as a child. His actions as a teenager, described in his diary, perfectly match what I've seen.

But why does he show hatred toward them now? Did something happen? Did they wrong Ishaan or Jaya in some way?

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Aunt's voice outside. I quickly placed the diary back in the box and left the storeroom, ensuring no one had seen me. I hurried toward Aunt, who was chatting with Uncle in the living area. Aunt smiled when she saw me, but Uncle didn't look pleased.

"I've made breakfast for you and Ishaan. After you freshen up, make sure to eat," Aunt said, beaming as she glanced at Uncle. "I'm going on a date with my husband!"
