Monday turned into Tuesday, Tuesday into Wednesday and Wednesday into Thursday. The days went by way too fast for their liking, as if they were suddenly living in a kind of fast lane. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Viv fortunately only had a morning training session, which meant she had the afternoons free and could spend time with Beth. But the fact that they only had a little over a week left together left them both a little disappointed.

Viv was glad that she would only be away for a few days for the Champions League once Beth was gone instead of during a period when Beth was here, so that she didn't have to leave Beth alone for a few nights here and could fully enjoy the time that Beth was still in her house. But she was also a little worried, she was now so attached to Beth, to her presence. How will she be able to live normally without her presence?

But that was a worry for later, today she had another early morning training session on the program. She had woken up at 6.30am by her alarm clock as usual at this eraly morning hour. It was quite difficult to wake up, while she normally didn't have that much trouble with it. But thinking back to last night, when she was sitting on the couch chatting with Beth, both of them had forgotten the time and it was 1am when they saw the clock, made it logical after all. So with this limited amount of sleep, it was natural that she had a little more trouble waking up today.

She grabbed her phone, almost blinded by the light her phone was emitting in the dark room. She really needed an extra 5 minutes to get up today, just to wake up for a moment, so she decided to browse Instagram for a bit. But not even two minutes later, she threw her phone down next to her, almost getting a headache from the amount of stimuli her head and eyes had to process. She knew it was time to get up, that putting it off would only make her more tired. She hadn't even gotten out of bed when her phone started beeping and a message came in.

'Hey girls, since they're expecting a winter storm today, training is cancelled. We have important matches in the coming period and I absolutely don't want you to get sick by training in a cold environment. I expect you to work on your strength training at home. Stay safe. I'll keep you posted on what this means for Saturday training and for the match next Sunday! - Gareth'.

She hadn't actually watched the news at all. Normally she always watched the news in the evening to see what the weather would be like the next day. But now that she was having such good conversations with Beth, the news was the last thing on her mind. And to her happiness, the day on which this winter storm would take place couldn't have been better, because she had her doubts about whether she would have been so functional today with her lack of sleep. And besides, this snow had meant she could spend more time with Beth, so she was extremely grateful for the weather gods. So she threw the leg she had thrown out of bed back and pulled the covers over her, purely and simply to close her eyes and relax, because she already knew that she wouldn't fall asleep again. Once she is awake, she can't manage to fall asleep again.

After three quarters of an hour she was actually fed up, she was no longer comfortable and decided to go out, to go into the woods with Myle, so that she would be back inside in plenty of time for the winter storm. So wrapped up warm, with the outside temperature of -4 degrees, she was ready to go, but not before she had left a note for the woman who was still sleeping soundly.

'Hey Beth, my training is cancelled today because of a winter storm that will be hitting England. So I'm home today. I'm now in the woods with Myle for about half an hour, so that she has had her big walk and doesn't have to go out in the winter storm. I haven't had breakfast yet, so we can do that together later. And since we don't have time for a slightly more luxurious breakfast on Sunday, maybe we can have one today. I'll see you soon. - Viv'.

Beth read the note Viv had left behind. Part of her was annoyed for Viv, that she now hadn't had the optimal preparation for the match next Sunday, if it wasn't cancelled. But part of her was really happy, that she could spend an extra day completely with Viv present. She also enjoyed herself with just Myle, but just having someone to talk to and then actually listen to felt so good.
