chapter sixteen

"we never thought that you would remember about us," yuhyuck said teasingly as the group trailed behind. however, he would soon find out that he would regret those words.

yurim shot him a playful glare. "of course, i remember! how could i forget the time you tried to prank me with that fake spider?"

yuhyuck smirked, "you screamed like a banshee! it was legendary."

"legendary enough for me to do this!" without missing a beat, yurim reached out and playfully hit his head. "don't think you can just get away with teasing me!"

"ow! that hurts!" yuhyuck exclaimed, rubbing the back of his head, but he couldn't help but smile.

jiwoong chuckled, nudging yuhyuck with his elbow. "you brought this upon yourself, man. you know better than to poke the bear."

"very funny," yuhyuck huffed, crossing his arms. but a grin betrayed his annoyance.

taesan grinned, bouncing on his heels. "c'mon, let's focus on finding stars and answering those questions. we need to impress our classmates. they don't know how awesome our family is yet!"

"right!" yurim exclaimed, her competitive spirit ignited. "let's show them what the han family is made of!"

yujin, trailing behind them, raised an eyebrow. "do we really have to impress anyone? can't we just collect the stars and go?"

"where's your sense of adventure, yujin?" jiwoong asked, ruffling the younger boy's hair. "this is about more than just stars; it's about teamwork and camaraderie!"

yujin pouted, but his expression softened at the warmth of his older brother's touch. "fine, but if we get stuck doing a bunch of embarrassing things, I'm blaming you all."

as they navigated through the bustling campus, yurim's heart swelled with pride for her siblings. they may bicker and tease each other, but there was no one else she would rather be with.

"hey, look!" taesan pointed towards a station. "i think that's a station!"

they approached the station and a familiar face lit up upon seeing them. "yurim! taesan! yujin!" it was their friend, chaewon. "i see that you guys are here to answer a question! should we start now?"

"perfect!" yurim replied, feeling the adrenaline rushing through her veins. "what's the question?"

chaewon pulled out the map, her brow furrowed in concentration. "who is known as the 'father of modern physics'?"

"easy! albert einstein!" yujin blurted out, earning a nod from chaewon.

"correct!" she cheered, and the group erupted into cheers as they added another point to their growing tally.

"next up," chaewon said, flipping the paper, "is a question about one of our classmates. who was the first-year student who not only served as the president of the student council but also won the national taekwondo championship in her age category?"

yurim raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms with a smirk. "oh, I wonder who that could be?"

the group chuckled, and taesan nudged yujin. "you better know this one, little bro."

yujin rolled his eyes. "of course, it's our noona, han yurim!"

"correct again!" chaewon announced, laughing. "you guys are on a roll!"

yuhyuck leaned over to jiwoong, whispering, "they really are the next generation of trivia champions."

"and you thought they'd forget about us," jiwoong replied, smirking.

"well, I didn't think they'd be this organized," yuhyuck admitted, his tone a mix of admiration and surprise.

with their spirits high and their team growing, the han siblings set off on their next adventure, ready to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.
