THE TEEN IS ECSTATIC, calista has made the cheer team. in fact, her name is the first one on the paper. her eyes scan down as she checks for the other two important names on the list, she grins from ear to ear, pride and satisfaction filling her chest.
she's proud of herself for making the team, but she's even more thrilled for melody and nia. as much as their relationship had been strained lately, they're still her best friends and she wants nothing but the best for them.
she quickly snaps a picture of the list, wanting to show them right away. she closes the camera roll and looks up, spotting melody and nia down the hall. they're talking and laughing together, oblivious to the news she's about to share.
calista walks up to them with a big smile, unable to keep the excitement from her voice. "guys, guess what!" she smiles sweetly. melody and nia turn to look at her, slightly quizzical expressions on their faces.
