At First Sight~K. Kenma x Oc

~Chapter 1~

The next day MatiMatimora's brother had dropped her off at school early since he had practice that morning. She didn't mind though, actually she preferred being here before other people. Now normally she's here by herself, minus the teachers of course, but today there was a strange sight when she walked over to her cubby to put her bag away, there was someone else there. Seeing this Matimora hesitated a bit nervous about going up to her cubby, since this person's was right next to hers apparently. Her eyes widened when the kid turned around, it was the kid she met yesterday, Kenma.

Ultimately Matimora did become nervous again, wondering if it was okay for her to say hello or not, but then she started wondering if it would be weird if she didn't, but then again they had only really talked for a short amount of time so maybe-

Matimora's string of thoughts was cut off when Kenma gave a small wave and a smile, before taking out his PSP from his bag and going to his classroom. This interaction, although small, made Matimora smile to herself as she put her bags away and took out her notebook, along with some math worksheets she took from her brother this morning, then went to her own class, a bit hopeful for the day.

                                                  ~TWO HOURS LATER~

Matimora's teacher was writing some simple math equations on the board and she already knew the answer just by glancing at the equations. She saw no need to really pay attention no matter how much she may love math, since she already knows the answer. She takes out the worksheets she got from her brother and starts working on those instead. After a bit Matimora's teacher must have noticed because she called on her.

"Kenishida, would you happen to know the answer to any of the questions on the board?" her teacher lifted a brow, and a large majority of the class turned to look at her, some snickering as they did. This made her shrink down in her chair as she gave a small nod.

"Care to answer then?" the teacher remarked, making some more kids chuckle a bit, some even starting to whisper. Mora took a deep breath before answering each question.

"8, 19, 27, and 30 respectively....from left to right" Matimora answered, her voice quiet as she spoke. Her teacher gave a nod, then continued with the lesson. Matimora got herself excused to go to the bathroom, avoiding the eyes that followed her. When she stepped into the hallway she let out a breath of relief when she saw it was empty. She made her way to the water fountain and took a sip of water holding her hair back and out of her face, when she heard a nearby classroom door open and close, momentarily freezing. When she looked over she once again saw Kenma who was going to get water as well, upset after his teacher called on him.

Matimora quickly let go of her hair letting it once again fall in front of her right eye. Kenma sees right as her hair falls back in place giving another wave.

"Hey, Kenishida-san...." Kenma gives her a small and quiet greeting, although it still seems to make Matimora's eyes light up.

"H-hello, Kozume-san...." Matimora gives him a greeting back, stuttering a bit as she did, which makes her face heat up slightly. "So uhm....how's Monster Hunter going?"

"It's going well, I'm just leveling up right now" Kenma avoids eye contact, much like Matimora, as he speaks, "....hey, you said you have the game too, right....would you like to come over and play some time?"

Matimora can't help the gigantic smile that finds its way onto her face at this invitation.

"Yeah, of course!" Kenma couldn't help but let a small smile creep onto his face at her excitement.

"Kay...see you later then" Kenma gives a wave before starting to go back to his class.

"Y-yeah...." Matimora says right before Kenma disappears. She makes her way back to class still smiling to herself as she sits down at her desk in the back and finishes up the worksheets she had, excited for the afternoon to arrive.
