Mora and Kenma walked out of the arcade with their prizes when they heard a loud voice call out to them.
"Hey, hey, hey! I thought I saw you!" Mora looked over with a slight shine to her eyes, and waved back over to Bokuto.
"Kou!" Mora jumped up and down a smile on her face.
"Hey Mora, do you live around here or something?"
"Not really we took a bus here, just here to try out the new arcade"
"Oh, there's a volleyball court around here if you want to practice with me" Mora's eyes sparkled at this suggestion, and she was about to respond but looked back over at Kenma.
"As much as I would love to, we gotta get going now, but I'm sure I have some time this weekend"
"Kay, I'll text you then! See ya Mora!" Bokuto waved before walking off.
Mora and Kenma walked to the bus stop in silence but Kenma finally spoke up when they got there as they waited for the bus to arrive.
"When did you even get that guy's number?" Mora paused and looked over tilting her head a bit as she thought.
"Hmmm...." After a bit Mora just shrugged, "I have no clue" Kenma sighed a bit and shook his head as they sat down on the bus.
"Good luck with your game tomorrow by the way"
"Thanks Kenma, I'll try my best to win, just for you. Although....I did some research on the team we're supposed to play against and the odds aren't exactly stacked in our favor"
"Well....maybe you can win despite what your math told you"
"....I hope so, it's our last match for this year...." Mora fiddled with her keychain as she thought to herself, "Oh! By the way my mom taught me how to make some apple pie, you gotta try it when I make it later, kay?" Kenma smiled at her and nodded.
They talked the entire bus ride, and most of the way back to their houses, Mora went with Kenma over to Kuroo's house, and he opened the door after they knocked.
"Oh, you guys are back already. How was your da-" Mora cut him off by accident by shoving the giant rooster plushie she had picked out for him in his face.
"Behold! Your souvenir!" Kuroo took the plushie from Mora and looked at it then looked up at Mora.
"Thanks....but you had to make it a rooster?" Mora smiled up at him and her eyes shined.
"Yes." Kuroo chuckled at this response and let the two inside, letting his parents know that Mora and Kenma were probably staying for dinner.
"Well, how was the arcade, you were talking about it for an entire week before it even opened"
"It was amazing! It was huuuuge, it had so many different games in it, but they were perfectly spaced out so people weren't too crowded."
"Wow, I'll have to check it out sometime then, huh?"
"Yeah, I also ran into Bokuto when we left. I'm going to practice volleyball with him this weekend, wanna come with?"
"Yeah, sure why not"
The three of them sat down in the living room and decided to watch some movies until dinner was ready, and Mora took it upon herself to just lay across Kenma and Kuroo. After the first movie and a half Mora remembered something.
"Oh, Malimari's coming over this weekend." Kuroo looked down at Mora, whose head was on Kenma's lap.
"Really?"
"Yeah, that's what my mom said anyway, even though I'm pretty sure you have her phone number, so she'll probably text you if she 'gets the time'" Mora rolled her eyes causing Kuroo to chuckle.
"I'll keep that in mind for next time"
Kuroo's parents called the three to eat, and dinner was calm with light conversation, Mora and Kenma were playing on their phones while they ate though, occasionally adding to the conversation. After they ate, they finished the movie, Mora dropped Kenma off at his house.
"Hey, can I stay over, my brother's on a date with his girlfriend" Kenma looked back at Mora, and nodded with a smile.
"But please don't steal my clothes again"
"I make no promises" Mora said with a smile as she skipped inside, thinking to herself this is just what she needed to motivate her for her game tomorrow.
And this time she hopes that her math won't prove true.
