The rest of the day went by smoothly, well as smoothly as it could go, and Mora was now watching the boy's practice since hers already ended. Mora helped the boys out with their practice a bit, and helped clean up after they were done. The coach and the team thanked her, which made her just smile. Mora skipped a bit as she walked with Kenma and Kuroo.
"Wait....", she stopped in front of the other two and looked at them with her head tilted, "Don't we have to take a different train than Kuroo, since we're going to the arcade?" Kenma looked at Mora and shook his head a bit.
"No, we're taking the bus"
"Can't believe you two are ditching me for the arcade" Kuroo sighs and fake sniffles, Mora looks over at him for a second before jumping up.
"How about to make up for it we bring you back a prize"
"You don't need to, I was just-" Mora had stopped listening and started running off in the direction of the bus stop. Kuroo and Kenma chuckled.
"Well I better catch up to her, see you later Kuro" Kuroo waved a bit and kept walking his own way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mora's eyes shined as she looked at the Arcade, Kenma looked equally as stunned. The arcade was large with lots of different neon lights, and game characters painted on the walls.
"Woah.....It's so big!"
"Yeah, it also looks kinda expensive" Mora waved off that statement.
"Oh relax Ken, plus...." Mora looks at the logo of the arcade and points at something right below it, "My family's technically the ones who own this place" Kenma looked at where Mora had pointed and indeed, there was a small logo for Kenishida Co. the company that Mora's family owns.
"If I ever get the chance to see Aunt Malimari, I'll need to thank her" Mora mumbles to herself before grabbing Kenma's hand and running inside the arcade. She went past the DDR machine and right to the racing games. Kenma turned and looked at her.
"Best out of 5?"
"Of course"
The two sat down and started playing, both of them were great at the game, so they were evenly matched. As the rounds went on by the 5th one they were tied, at this point some people had stopped to watch them. Both of them were focused and on their last lap around the track, but Kenma got the boost he needed right at the end to take the win.
"I got nervous there for a second" Kenma smiled as he looked over at Mora who laughed a bit at her loss.
"Well, that's still your win"
"But that means we're tied officially"
"Hmmm, true...wanna run three rounds of DDR?" Kenma shrugged as they walked over to the machine.
"Yeah, I'll try to at least win once this time." Mora smiled as she put in the tokens needed for two players.
"Yeah....you do that"
.......
She won all three rounds. Kenma sighed.
"You're impossible to beat" Mora held up a peace sign and smiled. Making Kenma chuckle.
For the rest of the time they played lots of different games and got enough tickets to get a prize for Kuroo, and Kenma, but Mora decided she wanted her prize from the one machine she hates most.
"The claw machine......" Mora glared at the claw as she calculated what she needed to do to get the axolotl keychain inside.
"You know we have enough to get you something too, right?"
"Yes, but I must do this, today is the day I finally take down this rigged machine." Mora put in the quarters and lined the claw up perfectly, and she got the keychain, but the claw dropped it. She kept trying and after 6 tries and countless different calculations she got the keychain.
"Yes! Finally! Take that, you stupid machine!" She held up the keychain in triumph, "Da da da da duuuuuun~" Mora turned and looked at Kenma with the brightest grin ever, one that made the corners of her eyes crinkle, and in Kenma's eyes it was as if Mora herself was shining brightly.
And that was the moment he realized just how badly he had fallen for her.
