At First Sight~K. Kenma x Oc

~Chapter 2~

 The final bell had finally rang and Matimora was excited as she got out of her seat and grabbed her bag and went to the door to wait for her brother. While she was waiting Kenma walked up to her looking down at his PSP, at first she didn't notice him because she was looking around at the sky and trees, but when she looked beside her, her smile widened a bit.

"Hi, Kozume-san. Are you getting picked up?"

"....no, I'm walking," Kenma responded, glancing over at her.

"Oh....well do you want to come with me and my brother?"

Kenma gave a small nod, putting his PSP up to save the rest of the battery life on it.

"....you did say you would come over...."

Matimora did her best to hide how happy she was that Kenma wanted her to come over to play games. They stayed quiet for a moment when Matimora spots a 13-year old boy with dirty-blonde hair, that was a bit closer to brown, walking towards them.

"Nii-san!" Matimora waved at her brother as he walked closer. When he got closer his celadon blue eyes looking at his lovely sister.

"There's my favorite little sis!" Matimora's brother said as he ruffled her hair a bit while giving her a hug. His eyes then landed on Kenma, "Oh? Who's this?"

"Oh this is Kozume Kenma, I met him yesterday when I was looking for Yuna, he kept her nice and safe." Matimora explained to her brother as she fixed her hair.

"Ooohhh, I see," he then turned to face Kenma, "Nice to meet you Kozume-san, I'm Kenishida Maphuru, Matimora's wonderful older brother" Matimora's brother, who Kenma now knew was named Maphuru, chuckled at the last bit. Matimora chuckled a bit as well.

"Oh by the way, Kozume-san invited me to play games at his house, can I? Please?" Matimora looked up at her brother, her eyes sparkling, causing her brother to sigh.

"You know I can't say 'no' to you, plus I'm sure Mom wouldn't mind anyway" Maphuru started to walk with Kenma and Matimora following him.

"....you two seem to get along...." Kenma says quietly as they walk

"Yeah, we do! He's the best brother I could ask for" Matimora said with a smile on her face, then a question came to her mind, "Kozume-san, do you have any siblings?"

Kenma shook his head, "I'm kinda glad I don't though...." Matimora hummed in response as a comfortable silence fell over the three. Matimora went back to looking around as they walked her eyes darting around, occasionally focusing on a bird or falling leaf. Eventually they reach the Kenishida household, a large house but still fairly modest.

"One moment Kozume-san, I have to get my game and stuff....you can come inside for a sec if you like." Matimora offered as she stood at the door as her brother walked inside. Kenma nodded and stepped inside with her and they took their shoes off, Matimora ran up her stairs quickly telling Kenma he could take a seat in the kitchen.

Kenma found his way to the kitchen and sat down, when Yuna came, walked over to him and jumped on his lap. Kenma looked around while petting Yuna as he waited, looking around. He noticed the pictures of Matimora and her brother hung up on the wall, and also some pictures of a woman with brown hair and blue eyes, who he assumed was their mother. What he found interesting though was that in none of the pictures he looked at could he see one where Matimora's left eye was visible.

Just when he started thinking Matimora came back down the stairs with her PSP and some games in hand.

"Sorry about that, we can go now. My brother said he'll drop me off." Matimora said, and Yuna got up from Kenma's lap and jumped up onto her shoulder. Maphuru came back downstairs as well and put his shoes on and called Matimora and Kenma over.

Maphuru dropped Matimora off and chatted with Kenma's parents for a minute before leaving, letting Matimora know that he'd pick her up in about three hours. Kenma's parents were kind, and let the two go play games in Kenma's room.

Matimora looked around Kenma's room, taking notice of the console and TV in the room.

"What games do you have up there?"

"Legend of Zelda, Minecraft, and some others as well"

"Do you have Four Swords?"

Kenma nodded and Matimora smiled, they booted up the game and played for about an hour or so. Kenma was surprised at how good Matimora was at the game and how much progress they made in such a short amount of time, after a bit they switched over to Monster Hunter and sat on Kenma's bed. Matimora was laying on her back playing on her PSP at the foot of his bed. They played in near silence both focused on the game, but on occasion Kenma would glance over at the girl laying there with her face covered with her hair, humming a bit as she played.

"Hey-"

Kenma was cut off when his parents called the two down for a snack. This was mainly to make sure they got to a stopping point before Matimora had to leave. The two made their way downstairs and as they were eating a question that Matimora had been meaning to ask before she got too into the game popped back into her head.

"...Do you play any rhythm games?" she tilted her head a bit as she ate a chip.

"Sometimes, not that often though, I prefer action-adventure games" Kenma responded, causing Matimora to hum a bit.

"That makes sense actually, I looked at some of the games you had and that's what most of them were...." she took a deep breath and mentally prepared herself for the next part of her statement, "...n-next time do you want to come over to my place? Our DDR machine just came in...." she asked, her voice becoming a bit quiet as she spoke.

Kenma looked as her, and how she lowered her head a bit and smiled softly, "Sure." he responded simply.

Matimora's face brightened up at this response and she smiled back.

"....You just have an entire DDR machine though?"

Matimora tilted her head at Kenma's question, "Yeah? Is there something strange about that?"

Kenma looks at her somewhat stunned at her words, then chuckles a bit. The two continue conversing until the doorbell rings. Kenma walks Matimora to the door where her brother is waiting.

"Bye Kenishida-san, see you tomorrow" Kenma waved a bit as he saw her off.

Matimora waved back with a smile, giving a quiet 'see you' before walking back to her place with her brother. For the first time in a while, she was excited about what the next day would bring.

A/N- Wow,  I actually posted the next chapter today, who knows maybe I'll do another one tomorrow. I hope you enjoyed this one, it's a bit longer than the others, I got carried way to be honest. The next one should be done soon, mainly because I have ideas for it.
