I practically ran out of that house and I didn't stop running until I got to that place. It was a bench with beautiful lights lit up around it and a clear over-head view of the stars.

It was where Cam asked me to be his boyfriend.

Cameron was sat on the bench, a blunt in his mouth and a lighter at hand.

I came and sat next to him.

Jake : hi..

Cameron : Hey...

He passed it to me.

Cameron : I'm sorry for calling you.

Jake : Don't be. We needed this conversation.

Jake : What happened to us huh?

I passed it back.

Cameron : Life.

Jake : No Cam, that wasn't life.

Cameron : Love then.

Jake : Even after all the bad, all we had was love. That's a feeling nobody else is ever going to understand. I'm sorry for everything I did.

Cameron : I'm sorry too. You didn't deserve any of that.

Jake : You know, after that phone call-

Jake : I have to. After that phone call, I felt like my life wasn't worth living. You took a part of me that I'm never going to get back and that's okay.

Cameron : I never stopped loving you. I don't think I can.

Jake : That's because we never fell out of love, we just hated ourselves enough to take it out on each other and that's why we didn't work.

Cameron : Over a year later and your words still pull on my heartstrings.

Jake : Lexy would kill me if she found out I was here... with you. But she doesn't understand that we were supposed to be together. It was just the drugs that stopped us. We could've lived a happily ever after.

Cameron : That would've been nice, but there's no point in "what if's".

Jake : You know, I've felt loved by many people, but you are the only person who has made me feel truly understood.

We had finished smoking it and we both got up.

Jake : So I guess this is goodbye.

Cameron : Unless... goodbye starts tomorrow and we have one last night together.
