Reluctantly, the girls went in, using a phlogiston-powered crystal that was usually a jewelry piece for Xilonen. As she took it off her neck, Mualani started to tear up, as Chasca told her some reassuring words to her. "Mualani-" She started, but was cut off quickly. "Oh please Chasca! We're stuck in a cave that was supposed to be a normal freaking- ROCK. I would rather be stuck in a professor's boring classroom than this" Citlali said, a bit too loud. She could see that Chasca was hurt, and immediately regretted everything she said.

"Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to blow up like that-" "No, you're right" Chasca retaliates, as she felt a bit of pressure on her waist. She looks down in surprise, feeling the warmth of Citlali's body against her chest, as she backs away embarrassed. "W-we should go" She says, blushing profusely.

All of them continue farther into the cave, when they stumble upon a room. "Weird" Several of them muttered, as Xilonen was sitting next to a body- motionless against the hard floor. "He doesn't seem to be-" Xilonen said, cutting herself off. She stood up and dusted off specs of dust from her clothing, and followed the trail of bodies- all apparent to be... dead.

Mualani hid behind Chasca, not wanting to be near them. She wasn't the type of person to watch scary movies, let alone be 10 feet from a bug. Chasca comforted her the best she could, as the both went through the almost seemingly trail as Xilonen stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes taking the form of huge saucers. For a moment, everybody thought she had a panic attack or something, but they knew the situation was much worse when they looked. "K-Kachina?" She managed to choke out, as she lost her voice in grief. Some of them couldn't even tell it was her, the blood overwhelming her small, delicate body against the cold floor. In a second, Xilonen burst into tears, holding her little sister's hand, hoping that by some miracle, she might just come back and be there to comfort her. But alas, that was just a fairytale.

Chasca came running to Xilonen, her own tears welling up as well. Kachina didn't deserve this fate- in fact, nobody deserved it. The only thing she could do was put her trembling hand on Xilonen's shoulder, and watch in horror at the terrible sight. Many flashbacks came in a seconds notice, as she could almost picture her parents instead of Kachina. It was too much to bear. The fire, the blood- the grief.
