Rhaenyra awakened with Alicent standing above her, shaking her to get up.
"You have one hour," "Get in the bath now, or I will have to drag you in it," Alicent scolded her.
Rhaenyra complained, "An hour for what ?"
"For Court, don't tell me you forgot," "His Grace has asked for the presence of both our houses" "Get up now quickly," Alicent said hastily.
"Fine, go and get dressed," Rhaenyra said while shedding her night dress near the tub.
Once she had bathed and dressed for court in the colour of her house, she left her room to see Alicent standing outside dressed in pale blue, "Lady Alicent, you look gorgeous," Rhaenyra said while taking Alicent's arm in her own.
"As do you, Princess Rhaenyra," Alicent replied.
As they started walking towards The Great Hall, Ser Harrold Westerling followed them from a distance.
As the door to The Great Hall opened, Ser Ryam Redwyne announced, "Princess Rhaenyra of House Targaryen and Lady Alicent of House Hightower".
It was the strangest sight for Rhaenyra- her Father was on his throne with the Conciliator's Crown on his head and Blackfyre in his hand, with her Mother sitting beside him with the Good Queen's Crown on her head. She looked tired, the baby was close to coming now, but the unusual thing was her uncle, dressed in his Dragon Armour, Dark Sister on his hip, stood beside her Father.
Her Father called her towards the throne. She curtsied her respects towards everyone as she walked towards the throne, bowed before her Father and said, "Your graces, my prince" to her parents and her uncle with a smile and stood behind her mother.
People from across the Seven Kingdoms had already arrived for the Tourney. The closest to the throne were The Hightowers and The Velaryons.
At the strike of noon, her Father, the King, started speaking, "Esteemed Lords and Ladies, I have called the court today as I have some important announcements regarding the future of the Seven Kingdoms and the House Targaryen, Daemon, Prince of Dragonstone, step forward", he stepped in front of his brother, her Father continued, "I disinherit you as the heir to the Iron Throne" Prince Daemon curtsied a bow to Viserys and moved back to where he stood before.
The court erupted in chatter. There was a hint of a smile on the Hand's face.
As the chatter died down, her Father continued, "Grand Maester Mellos step forward" The Grand Maester came through the crowd and bowed towards them.
Viserys continued, "I remove you from the position of Grand Maester and place Maester Gerardys of Dragonstone as Grand Maester,"
Mellos complained, "But your grace, the citadel decides the positions of the Maesters" "They choose the Maesters for every Castle,"
Otto interjected, "Indeed, Your Grace, this is the most Irregular" "Perhaps we can discuss this privately with the small council".
The King commanded, " Lord Strong, please tell us the laws regarding this matter,"
Lord Lyonel, who stood with his family, said calmly, "I am afraid, the Hand is right, Your Grace" "The Citadel appoints Maesters".
Viserys smiled and continued, "And who has the final say in the laws of the realm".
Lord Strong replied, "None but you, your grace".
Viserys commanded, "Then, I officially change this law" "The Citadel will still appoint Maesters, but the Lords of all Castles have a right to change these Maesters concerning their own needs and Maester Mellos, you will leave the city immediately after court, I would like it that I never see you in this city again".
