Okay, so I'm going to do things a little differently. Basically all I'm going to do is add a date to the POVs so you know when the story is taking place, lol. I feel like this is going to make the story easier to follow along! Hope you're enjoying the story so far, by the way. We reached ten chapters!

October 16th, Wednesday, Morning, Suitcase's POV:

Baseball just tried to talk to me in the hallway. Nickel wasn't with him, so I'm assuming they're not friends or maybe they decided to have a break from each other or whatever, but I still don't want to talk to him. I know he didn't do anything, but I need to take a break from both of them right now.

It's morning, and Balloon hasn't arrived at school yet. He usually arrives later than me, anyway, so I don't worry about it too much. However, when the warning bell rings, and Balloon is still nowhere in sight, I start to shake. Where is he? I don't want to be lonely today! Come on...

I start walking to class, looking behind me in case he arrives just on time. I still don't see him. I head inside my orchestra class, sitting at the piano. The bell rings, and I officially come to the conclusion that he was absent. Darn. Ms. Hall, my teacher, is at the front of the class, holding up a sheet of music. She walks over and passes it to me, a glowing smile on her face. "Suitcase, I've heard your playing and I'm hearing improvement! Here's a more advanced sheet of music for you to practice at home. Oh, and by the way, every summer, the school hosts a talent show for students to perform and show their skills. If you want, when the sign up sheets are put up, you can put your name down! I'd love to hear you play."

I stare at her in shock. "They're...already planning for it? The show?" I ask. She purses her lips. "No, not yet...I just wanted to let you know about the event, in case you're interested. Oh, and by the way, you'll need to partner up with a violinist. Last year a lot of people played the piano by themselves, and the school just wants to switch things up a bit." I nodded, placing the sheet of music she gave me in my backpack. "Noted, miss. Thanks for the music." She walked away, back to the front of the class.

So, I need to find a violinist for the show, if I want to enter. Guess I can't enter, then, because not many people here are choosing to play the violin, and the thing is, I hate talking to other people unless I'm with my friends or it is absolutely necessary. So I guess maybe...I won't sign up.

"Okay, class, whip out the sheet of the song we've been practicing...and begin on my count. Everyone ready? Okay...one, two, three!" Ms. Hall commands, and we start to play, following the notes on the paper in front of us.

(Okay I know Suitcase's POV is short, but I've been unmotivated lately for some reason...so I cooked this up in about...25 minutes? Whatever. On to the next POV!!)

October 16th, Lightbulb's POV:

"Fan...what's an external conflict again?"

"I don't even know, Lightbulb. I guess...use context clues or whatever to figure it out."

It was first period, and me and Fan were sitting together in English, trying to do an assignment. It was a story called "Rogue Wave" and we didn't know any of the answers, even though we read the story this time. "I guess...external conflict is the overall problem in the story?" I answered, writing down how in the story, a rogue wave hit the character's boat, called the 'Old Sea Dog' and flipped over the boat. Fan looked at my paper, astonished. "How did you figure that out?" I shrugged in response.

Fan started copying down my answer onto his paper, chewing on the end of his pencil when he was finished. "Okay, now what's this question...seriously? The theme? Is it to not go out to sea because it's dangerous? I don't know!" He complained.
