Lucifer lay in bed, he felt extremely happy; today was the day he was gonna confess to Alastor. He got up and ran out of his room. The others noticed; Lucifer had never been so excited for anything before. He went over to Alastor's hotel door, knocked, and waited for a response. Charlie watched the whole thing and went up to her dad.

"Dad, what are you doing? Have-- Have you and Alastor finally gotten along?! Oh my gosh!!" She was excited.

"I guess we have gotten along; I plan on hanging out with him today. Y'know, hitting the town, doing fun things again," He beamed back.

Charlie was so excited she ran down the stairs and announced Lucifer and Alastor's friendship to everyone and how proud she was. Lucifer knocked on Alastor's door again and walked in. Alastor was there but sitting at the table in his room, eating a deer carcass. He didn't even notice Lucifer walk in, he was focused on eating.

"𝘈𝘩𝘦𝘮," Lucifer cleared his throat to get the red deer's attention.

Alastor finally looked up at the King.

"Do you mind? I'm in the middle of breakfast."

Lucifer ignored the deer carcass; he spoke again.

"I was wondering if you wanted to-- hang out again? I have lots of stuff planned for us to do."

     Alastor looked up again, intrigued.

"What kind of stuff, my dear? Duck ponds and pizza places again, hm?"

"No, I was thinking more of walking through the park, enjoying each other's company. Perhaps, we could get something to eat while there," The short king replied quickly.

"Interesting. I'll be ready in fifteen, dear," Alastor nodded.

Lucifer nodded back and shut the door; he couldn't contain his excitement, he was ready for today. He walked back to his room; he made sure to shut the door so no one would hear him read his plans out. He opened the nightstand drawer, took out the piece of paper, and revised his plan.

"Hang out with Alastor, wait for the perfect moment, and pop the question!" He said to himself.

He kept revising it to himself and even imagined the perfect scenario where he asks and Alastor says 'yes'. He put the plan away in the drawer and lay on his bed, he finally felt at peace with everything, and there was no way Alastor could say 'no'. He sighed and silently cheered to himself. Soon, a knock on his door happened.

"Luci, I'm ready for this day you have planned! We should get going before the streets get busy," Alastor yelled out, "You know how Sinners are. Quite violent during the hour of slaughtering."

"I can handle myself, Al! I'll protect us since you're so worried," Lucifer replied as he walked out to see him.

"I can also handle myself quite fine. I don't need protection!" He replied, being a smartass.

"Says Bambi who almost died to The First Man-- I will protect us, you need it," Lucifer walked beside him.

Alastor rolled his eyes and walked out of the hotel with the King of Hell. They began the first part of their day out, just walking and enjoying each other's company. The first few minutes were pretty silent as the two just admired being in each other's presence. Lucifer began speaking again.

"Hey, Al-- Do you wanna hear about all 174 duck species again?"

Alastor raised an eyebrow but just nodded, Lucifer already talked about the duck species before but he didn't mind; he enjoyed Lucifer's passion. The rant went on for some time; at least for an hour. Walking for an hour around Hell made both of the powerful tired so they sat down on a nearby public bench. It was covered in blood and Alastor's sat in it.

"Disgusting! Sinner's have no manners, they could at least politely bleed out on the floor rather than a public seating area!" Alastor exclaimed.

Lucifer giggled at Alastor outburst, he was having such a good time with him. Alastor then used one of his fingers and drug it across the blood and licked it. He gagged at Alastor's action.

"Mmmm... Tastes like a Hellborn. They are quite flavorless but this one tastes.." He smacked his lips, "Sassy."

"Did you really have to do that??-- That's disgusting..." Lucifer's face was covered in disgust, "How do you know what these demons taste like?-- Oh, right-- Nevermind."

Alastor smiled a bit and leaned over Lucifer a bit and just stared at him, waiting for him to question his ways more. Lucifer sat there deep in thought and looked down at Alastor's now blood soaked coat.

"Hey, do you uh-- maybe wanna get some new clothes?" He asked.

"Oh, you spoil me, dear! I would enjoy something-- a little less blood soaked!" Alastor replied enthusiastically.

Lucifer sat up and helped Alastor up; they began walking back up the streets of Hell. They made their way to a clothing store. The two powerful figures entered once there; Lucifer told Alastor to pick out whatever he wanted. The Radio Demon began going through some of the stuff until picking out a deer-patterned sweater.

"Thought I might as well match with you, since we're friends now and all-- Nothing  wrong with matching between friends," Alastor said aloud, it was clear the word 'friend' pained him to say.

Lucifer smiled and bought the sweater for him; he told Alastor to go put it on so they could continue their night. Alastor left the room to get changed. Lucifer sighed heavily, he wanted to just confess right here and right now but he was gonna wait until the time was right; the time would be right when they go out to get something to eat.

"Restuarants are kind of cliche for asking out, like a fairy tale dream-- well, I'm gonna live a fairy tale dream!" Lucifer thought to himself.

Alastor came back in the new attire. He nudged Lucifer and they began walking out together. Lucifer began talking about them getting something to eat; Alastor was kind of full from breakfast but he didn't mind having a little more so he agreed. Lucifer starting thinking about how much more of a fairy tale he could make his confession; it hit him, he could share spaghetti together, that's really cliche.

"I know a good Italian restaurant around here," Lucifer announced.

"We had Italian yesterday, Lucifer. I don't know-" Alastor began speaking but was immediately cut off.

"WE CAN SHARE PASTA TOGETHER INSTEAD-- INSTEAD OF PIZZA-" Lucifer quickly blurted out.

"Hmm, I was actually craving some pasta recently," Alastor agreed, "Fair enough, we can share again."

Lucifer smiled; he grabbed Alastor's hand and ran all the way to the place, he needed this confession to be perfect. They made their way to the restaurant as fast as they could, Alastor wasn't into the run but still tried to keep up. Lucifer slammed the doors open of the place and asked to be seated soon as possible, Alastor stared at him, wondering what the rush was. The two powerful figures were seated in a a quiet area like the one they were in last night. Their order was taken pretty quickly due to hardly anyone being there.

"I'm really enjoying your company, Alastor. It would be great if we could do this sort of thing-- more often," Lucifer smiled up at him.

Alastor looked back at the short King.

"Oh, how I would be delighted to spend more time with you, dear. I couldn't agree more, I have never felt so comfortable in ones presence before."

"Just imagine-- we could always be in each other's company and--" Lucifer paused, blushing a bit and slightly pulling his finger toward Alastor's hand, "We'd never part because we'd just be that close."

Alastor blushed a bit; he immediately realized that Lucifer was gonna confess, he needed to shut this down. He didn't know why he wanted to, he loved Lucifer very much and would love to be with him all the time but he felt like being humiliated would be worse than anything.

"No, dear. We'd have to part eventually. I like you, Luci-- But I just can't," He spoke out, "This concept is so foolish of you! You really think it would work?"

Lucifer was shocked by the immediate switch up of Alastor's demanor.

"It's not foolish!-- Are you saying dreaming is foolish?!" Lucifer argued back.

"Dreaming is foolish. Look at where dreaming got you and look at where it got your daughter!" Alastor was trying to instigate a fight so Lucifer wouldn't feel anything toward him anymore.

"Are you kidding?! Dreaming may have not gotten me a lot but it's gotten me somewhere and it's getting Charlie somewhere!" Lucifer snapped back.

"Yeah, dreaming got you somewhere! Hell!" Alastor also snapped back but he was more laid back and calm.

"Why are you acting like this, Al?! You were so cool with all of this and you just start a fight?!" He slightly calmed down as he stared at the Radio Demon, "Are you scared that I'll stop loving you? Are you scared that I don't actually care about you and that I'm doing this to embarrass you?!"

Alastor looked away, unable to respond; he did indeed believe those things. Lucifer noticed it and gently put his hand over Alastor's.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, Al... I promise. I'll love and protect you, more than anything. You meant a lot to me over this past week-- thank you. Thank you, for making me feel special," Lucifer had a tear fall down his eye.

Alastor held his hand tightly and spoke back.

"No. Thank you... Thank you, for everything, Luci. I never knew I could love until I met you... You made me feel special. I owe you a lot."

Lucifer smiled and put his other hand over Alastor's.

"Thank you, for showing me love again..." He smiled, looked down, and looked back up, "Do you wanna give this a try?"

Alastor smile was genuine as he lifted up Lucifer's hand and kissed it.

   "I would love to, darling."

Lucifer smiled. He pulled Alastor closer, gave him a soft kiss on the lips, and pulled back.

"I promise I won't ever hurt you. You have my word," He smiled at him.
