~Evie's POV~
"Mal! Ben just asked me on... a date!" I say gleefully after running into our dorm room, spilling the contents of my makeup bag onto the counter.

"Woah, Evie, calm down. It's not like you're getting married." Mal says. "And do you even need all of that stuff?"

"Oh please, my mother taught me to apply blush before I could talk. Always use upward strokes." I say proudly, giggling. I sit at the vanity, applying a soft, glittery eyeshadow, mascara, blush, and red lipstick. I also started curling my hair and put a section into my braid crown.

"This is great though, Evie. The love spell clearly worked. He's obsessed with you!" Mal says, sighing. "It's honestly a little annoying."

"I know, I know. I actually find it romantic, though." I admit. "Which shade of blue should I wear for my dress? Maybe a sky blue, or a cornflower blue?" I ask Mal. She's amazing at drawing sketches of clothing, and I design them for her.

"Are you serious? Evie, you KNOW royal blue and sapphire blue are your colors. It's in the name - ROYAL blue." Mal says, and I can't help but to smile.

"Royal blue it is, then. Paired with a red--" I start.

"Leather jacket." Mal finishes, holding one from my closet. "It compliments the dress perfectly. And maybe with some combat boots, too."

"Yes to the jacket! It's so perfect, M. But combat boots? Absolutely not." I say, going to my closet to pull out some very high heeled red boots, decorated with gold studs. They're very fashionable.

"How do you even walk in those?" Mal asks, bewildered.

"A princess always wears heels, Mal." I smile at myself in the mirror, very pleased with the outfit. For accessories, I wear my red heart necklace, a ruby bracelet, and my heart bag. I carefully tuck my mirror into my bag. We then hear a knock on the door.

"Oh, that must be--" Mal starts, and I quickly rush to the door, taking a deep breath before opening it and revealing the handsome Prince Ben. He was dressed a little more casually -
wearing a blue button down shirt, khakis, and an Auradon Prep varsity jacket. He also was carrying what looked like two helmets.

"For the first time, I understand the difference between pretty and beautiful." Ben says, the dreamy twinkle still in his eye. "I hope you like bikes."

"Yes, of course! Let's go." I say, daintily waving to Mal before leaving the room. My best friend carefully watches us leave before closing the door.

~Ben's POV~

"So where are we going? I'm really excited." Evie says, smiling softly. We walked outside to the courtyard where my motorcycle bike was waiting for us.

"I have a whole day planned for us. First, we're going to my favorite restaurant since childhood, Flo's Drive In Cafe. And then, I'm taking you to the enchanted lake." I say before buckling Evie's helmet onto her head, being careful to not mess up her hair.

"Enchanted lake? Wow, that sounds amazing!" Evie says. "I mean, I'm really looking forward to it." Evie says, trying to contain her excitement.

"Here, hop on." I help Evie get onto the bike before getting on myself, making sure that she's safe. "You're gonna have to hold onto me, okay? It's a short drive, don't worry." I say over the noise of the engine. Evie clings her arms around me, and her touch alone makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world.

After a 10 minute scenic drive down the quaint streets of Auradon, we arrive at my favorite restaurant since childhood. It was the opposite of what my parents enjoyed eating - they preferred Lumiere's French culinary delights and Mrs. Potts' teatime treats. I wasn't as fancy as my parents and even I longed to take my girlfriend to the classic drive in cafe.
