As Blake and Eleanor returned to the office after their brief break, the buzz of activity in the IT department welcomed them back. Eleanor was still riding the high from their fun lunch, completely unaware of the stirring interest she had ignited among her bosses.

Just as they settled back at their desks, the IT Director approached them with an enthusiastic expression. “Eleanor! Blake! Can I have a word?” he called out, his tone light and filled with excitement.

Eleanor looked up, intrigued. “Sure, what’s up?” she replied, glancing at Blake, who gave her an encouraging nod.

The IT Director gestured for them to step into a nearby conference room, clearly eager to share some good news. Once inside, he closed the door behind them and leaned against the table, a broad smile on his face. “I just had a meeting with our upper management and—” he paused for dramatic effect, “they loved the website you created, Eleanor! They’re so impressed with your work that they want to feature it in the next company-wide presentation!”

Eleanor’s eyes widened in surprise and delight. “Really? That’s amazing! Thank you for telling me!” she exclaimed, her excitement bubbling over.

“And there’s more,” the IT Director continued, his grin widening. “They’re also considering giving you a bonus for your outstanding contributions. You’ve really made a difference here.”

Blake couldn’t help but beam at her. “You deserve it, El! Your hard work is finally getting recognized,” he said, genuinely happy for his best friend.

Eleanor felt a rush of warmth at the recognition. “I’m just doing my job, but this means a lot to me. Thank you!” she replied, her smile radiant.

The IT Director nodded, clearly pleased with her response. “Just keep up the excellent work. I know you’ll continue to impress everyone,” he encouraged before stepping back out of the conference room.

As they walked back to their desks, Blake teased her playfully. “So, when are we having a celebration for your big win?”

Eleanor laughed, a sense of pride swelling within her. “Maybe after work on Friday? Pizza sounds good again,” she suggested, her mind still racing with the news. Little did she know that the weekend was about to become even more eventful than she could imagine, especially with the growing attention from her powerful bosses.

As Alejandro, Leonardo, and Roberto exited the office building, the atmosphere shifted from the bustling work environment to the sleek streets of the city. Despite the chaos of their day-to-day operations, they all felt a palpable tension in the air, an unspoken agreement that something significant was brewing—especially regarding Eleanor.

Roberto adjusted his tie, glancing sideways at his companions. “Did you see the way the IT Director lit up when he talked about her? He’s definitely proud of her work, and rightly so,” he commented, his tone laced with admiration.

Leonardo nodded, his jaw set in determination. “She’s not just a pretty face; she’s brilliant. That website she created is top-notch. I have to admit, I’m impressed. We need to find a way to work with her directly,” he said, his voice steady and purposeful.

Alejandro, who had been silent for a moment, finally spoke up, his dark eyes glinting with intrigue. “I agree. There’s something about her that pulls you in. It’s more than just her talent—it’s her presence. She captivates everyone without even trying,” he remarked, a hint of admiration in his tone.

Leonardo smirked slightly. “I think we’re all feeling the same thing. But we have to be careful. We can't rush in and scare her off. She seems innocent, and we need to show her that we’re not just powerful Mafia leaders but also supportive colleagues.”
