As Eleanor stepped into her office, she was greeted by a breathtaking sight. The room was transformed into a vibrant forest of colorful roses, their fragrant scent enveloping her in a warm embrace. Each bloom seemed to whisper congratulations, filling her with joy and a sense of accomplishment. But just as she began to bask in the moment, her phone buzzed with a new message. She glanced at the screen and felt her stomach drop. It was from Stephen, and his words sent a chill down her spine: *“Congratulations on the presentation. I hope you enjoy the flowers.”*
Panic surged through her, and she quickly dialed Blake’s number. Her heart raced as she waited for him to pick up.
“Eleanor?” Blake’s voice came through, laced with concern. “What’s wrong?”
“Stephen sent me a text. He knows about the flowers, and I feel like he’s watching me again,” she said, her voice trembling. “I need you and the guys to come to my office. Please.”
“On our way,” Blake assured her, the urgency in his voice evident.
As she hung up, her mind raced with thoughts of Stephen. The way he had grabbed her earlier flashed through her mind, and the uneasy feeling returned with a vengeance. She couldn’t shake the sense of being trapped in a web of his obsession.
A few moments later, the trio entered her office, their expressions a mix of concern and protectiveness. Leonardo stepped forward, scanning the room filled with roses and then locking eyes with Eleanor.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice deep and soothing.
Eleanor nodded, but the anxiety lingered. “Stephen texted me. He congratulated me and mentioned the flowers. I don’t like this. It feels like he’s invading my space.”
Alejandro’s jaw tightened, and he moved closer to her, radiating a protective energy. “He has no right to make you feel this way. We’ll handle this.”
Roberto, always the calm and collected one, glanced at the flowers. “We should take these out of here. We don’t want anything that reminds you of him.”
Eleanor appreciated their concern but felt a pang of guilt. “I didn’t want to ruin the moment. They’re beautiful, and I wanted to enjoy my accomplishment.”
Leonardo stepped closer, his eyes softening. “Your safety and comfort come first, Eleanor. We don’t want you to feel uneasy, especially after everything.”
Blake entered the room just then, catching the last part of their conversation. “What’s going on?” he asked, sensing the tension.
“Stephen sent her a message, and we’re getting rid of these flowers,” Alejandro said, crossing his arms, his protective stance firm.
Eleanor took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of their support surround her. “I appreciate all of you so much. I just feel... overwhelmed.”
Blake nodded. “That’s completely understandable. We’ll figure this out together, okay? You’re not alone in this.”
As the men moved to remove the roses, Eleanor felt a mix of emotions. The beauty of the flowers had been overshadowed by Stephen’s unsettling presence, but the strength of her connection with the trio was undeniable. They were her protectors, her confidants, and with their support, she knew she could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Once the roses were taken out and the room felt lighter, Leonardo stepped back, allowing Eleanor to take a moment to breathe. “Let’s go grab a drink or something. We can talk about this more if you want.”
Eleanor smiled, grateful for their understanding. “I’d like that. I think I need to unwind a bit.”
With a sense of camaraderie and support, the group made their way out of the office, ready to confront whatever Stephen had in store while embracing the bond they were forging in the process. Eleanor knew she was safe with them by her side, and that thought gave her the strength to move forward.
