The Vacation: Sasunaru

Sasuke and Naruto finally received their well deserved vacation after months of grinding at the office, filing paper work, and dealing with their piece of shit bosses. Now they finally had time to spend with their kids, and what better way to do that than going on a camping trip? Naruto, rather excitedly, chose the destination for their camping trip.

The middle of the desert, far away from the city, where there was no cell service or network.

Obviously the kids weren't too keen. "How are we supposed to entertain ourselves?" Menma demanded as he stared at down at his phone, the 'no signal' staring back at him as it mocking him.

"Tell scary stories, watch the stars, talk to each other, make jokes" Naruto listed as he drove the car. Sasuke was relieved to be away from the city like his husband, what he didn't like was the 'no cell service' though, like his kids. Just like the kids, he was uncomfortable when there was no internet, no connection to the digital world, no cell service, and no network. It wasn't that he was addicted to his phone or the internet like his kids

Ok maybe just a little bit

He just has so much on his plate that he is FORCED to keep checking his phone for messages and notifications every hour or so.

But Naruto insisted that this was a perfect opportunity for them to unwind. To relax.

"My version of relaxing is hiding in my room playing my games" Mina, the second eldest, muttered crossing her arms.

"Why the desert of all places?" Natsu asked with a whine

"Because we've never been there and it's a stark contrast to the typical to camping in the woods. It'll be fun, trust me" Naruto said with a grin as he slammed the trunk shut and pushed his kids and husband inside the car.

The drive out of the city of Konoha was silent for the most part, the kids were still hooked on their phones taking advantage of the remaining internet connection and cell service they have until they leave the city completely and reach the outskirts where the desert awaited them.

A few hours of driving later, Menma, Mina and Natsu groaned and turned off their phones at last. Naruto smiled "finally" he thought.

"Hey, uh how about you tell scary stories?" Naruto suggested.

"Isn't that reserved for campfires?" Menma asked. Naruto tossed them a flashlight "Go ahead scar your father and I" Naruto said with a chuckle.

Menma shrugged and thought for a while, before a smirk similar to Sasuke appeared on his pale face. He began to tell his tale of a beast roaming the desert. "They say it was a military experiment gone wrong" he said ominously "They say it has the body of a cougar" he continued

Mina and Natsu shifted uncomfortably

"The wings of a bat" Menma brought the flashlight closer to his face

"And the head, of a DUCK!" his brother and sister screamed, before bursting into laughter. "Nice one, ok my turn" Mina says before grabbing the flashlight.

"There was once a wandering man looking for a free ride on the street" she began her tale. "He kept wandering down the street, until he heard the sound of a vehicle, turning around he saw a rusty old pick up truck with tinted windows slowing down beside him. A voice inside asked if he needed a ride"

Natsu faked a shudder "Did he...say yes?"

"Just when the man was about to enter the truck, the window rolled down and he realized ..THE TRUCK HAD NO DRIVER!" Again the three kids screamed before bursting into laughter. Naruto chuckled
