We met through a friend request, online love's tangled thread,
Our connection blossomed, words unsaid but deeply read.
But trust was fragile, and my fears got in the way,
A misunderstanding tore us apart that day.
We tried again,
both with apologies in hand,
Yet your reaction built a wall I couldn't withstand.
Though we've parted once more, something still remains,
A quiet ache, a wish to ease the pain.
You made me feel cherished,
seen in a way so true,
I opened up my heart,
but hid my mind from you.
I didn't want to burden you with all my mental strife,
Yet still, I miss you,
wonder if we could rewrite life.
I'll meet you in Canada one day.
