I love my parents, I truly do,
Through ups and downs, they saw me through.
They did their best, of that I'm sure,
But some chains broke, while others endured.Traumas and curses still made their way,
Despite the love they gave each day.
Now it's on me to break what's passed,
To shatter those chains, to free at last.I wish I could share my pain with them,
But words get lost, I can't begin.
So I speak to God in silent prayer,
And pour my heart on paper's tear.My pillows know the weight I bear,
They hold my tears when no one's there.
For trust is fragile, but faith is strong,
And in my writing, I still belong.
