Elysia's heart raced with anticipation as Thornvald took her hand, leading her away from the ritual circle. She had just accepted her destiny, binding her fate to his, and now she was about to meet her parents. The very thought sent waves of excitement and anxiety coursing through her.

As they walked through the corridors of Thornvald's castle, Elysia's mind raced. Would they be happy to see her? Would they even recognize her after all this time? It had been years since she had last seen them, memories of warmth and laughter tinged with the bittersweet ache of separation.

Finally, Thornvald stopped in front of a pair of grand doors, ornate and adorned with intricate carvings of mythical creatures. He turned to her, his expression serious yet reassuring. "Are you ready?"

Elysia took a deep breath, nodding. "Yes, I am."

With a gentle push, Thornvald opened the doors, revealing a spacious room filled with soft, golden light. In the center stood her parents, their backs turned to them, gazing out of a large window that framed the beautiful expanse of the Kingdom of Arathia.

"Mom! Dad!" Elysia called, her voice trembling with emotion.

At the sound of her voice, her parents turned sharply, their faces morphing from confusion to shock, and finally into pure joy. Elysia's mother, Hae-jin, rushed toward her, tears glistening in her eyes. "Elysia!" she cried, enveloping her in a warm embrace.

Elysia felt a rush of comfort as her mother's familiar scent enveloped her. It felt as if all the years of longing were compressed into this one moment. "I missed you so much," Elysia whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

"I missed you too, my darling," Hae-jin replied, pulling back to study Elysia's face, her hands cradling her daughter's cheeks. "You've grown so much. You look just like I remembered."

Beside them, Elysia's father, Matteo, wiped away tears that threatened to spill from his own eyes. He stepped forward, wrapping his arms around both Elysia and Hae-jin, creating a family cocoon. "We thought we lost you forever," he said, his voice choked with emotion.

Elysia felt tears streaming down her cheeks as she took in the sight of her parents-her mother's gentle smile and her father's reassuring presence. It was as if no time had passed at all.

After a moment, they pulled back, each of them trying to catch their breath amid the overwhelming emotion. "How did you find us?" Hae-jin asked, her eyes shining with curiosity and relief.

Thornvald stepped forward, his presence steadying. "I brought her back. Elysia is destined to unlock the chains that bind me, and in doing so, I promised to reunite her with you."

Matteo's expression shifted from joy to gratitude as he turned to Thornvald. "Thank you for bringing our daughter home. You have no idea how much this means to us."

Thornvald smiled softly. "It was my honor. Elysia is special, and I would do anything to protect her and her family."

Tears brimmed in Hae-jin's eyes again as she turned back to Elysia. "You have no idea how much we missed you. Every day without you felt like a piece of our hearts was missing."

Elysia nodded, her heart swelling with love for her parents. "I missed you too. Every moment. But I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere."

As they shared stories, laughter mingled with tears, recounting the years spent apart and the moments they longed for. Hae-jin and Matteo listened intently as Elysia recounted her adventures in the Kingdom of Arathia, her voice laced with excitement and warmth.

But time was slipping away. Elysia could feel the weight of their reunion settling on her, a bittersweet reminder that they wouldn't be together for long. Thornvald, sensing the tension in the air, spoke gently. "We need to prepare for what lies ahead, Elysia. The journey is just beginning, and I will ensure you are protected."

Elysia nodded, knowing that their time together was limited. "I understand. But I want you both to know how much I love you, and how grateful I am for everything you've done."

Matteo stepped forward, taking Elysia's hands in his. "No matter where you go or what happens, we will always be with you in spirit. We are so proud of the person you have become."

Hae-jin joined them, placing her hand atop Matteo's. "And we will always be waiting for you, my dear. Our hearts are always open to you."

Elysia felt a warmth enveloping her, a deep sense of love that would forever anchor her. "I promise I will come back. We will find a way to be together again."

As they shared one final embrace, the reality of their separation began to settle in. Thornvald gently placed his hand on Elysia's shoulder, a reminder that they had a mission ahead of them.

"Let's not delay any longer," he urged softly, guiding her toward the door. "There's much to do, and time is of the essence."

With one last look at her parents, Elysia felt a wave of determination wash over her. She was embarking on a journey that would change their lives forever, and she wouldn't let anything stand in her way.

As Thornvald led her out of the room, Elysia glanced back at her parents one last time. Tears glimmered in their eyes, but their smiles were unwavering. They would be waiting for her, and she would return to them with a heart full of hope and the strength to break the chains that bound Thornvald.

The path ahead was uncertain, filled with challenges and adventures, but Elysia knew one thing for sure: love would guide her through the darkest of times, and together with Thornvald, she would forge a new destiny.
