As I lay on my bed staring up at my ceiling picking and biting at my finger nails and occasionally looking at my phone seeing if I have gotten any messages or a phone call from Mrs Collins, Aprils mum.

I've liked her for five years...Five solid years!... Since 7th grade, and she doesn't even know I'm deeply in love with her .No one knows. It's like my dirty little secret, I'm 107% sure she just sees me as really, good, close, best friend, like a brother one might say. I closed my eyes for a few minutes then I felt my phone vibrate beside me, I quickly sit up seeing Mrs Collins number on my screen, I answered it quickly hearing a females voice and my hands started to shake a little.

"H-hello" I stuttered out quickly "Nate? Honey? Its Belle..." Mrs Collins, or otherwise known as April's mum, said panicked "How is she!?, is she okay!?" I said interrupting her eager to know some answers "Well... She has gone into surgery, she's broken two middle ribs one on each side... And-" "And...!?" I said panicked

I woke up before my alarm today and I just sat there bundled up in my blankets, staring at my floorboards, thinking 'uuugh school.... At least i'ts Friday and get to see April' I got up from my bed and had a quick shower, then I jumped out of the shower grabbing the towel hanging off the hook on the back of the door once I had finished flexing in front of the mirror.
I dried off my hair and put a little gel in it to spike it up, once I had done that I grabbed my towel from around my shoulders and wrapped it around my waist so I didn't scare my little brother; Ben. I walked into my room, just as my alarm start ringing so I quickly turned it off before it woke anyone else up and peeked through my blinds and saw it was dark and cloudy. Normal Australian winter morning, it'll turn out hot in the middle of the day per usual, so I walked to my wardrobe and got out a black V neck shirt out followed light grey jeans and my solid black converse.

I dried my body and got dressed I walked across my room to pick up my blue and brown 'Vans' bag from beside my desk and picked up my wallet and phone charging on my desk and put it in my back pocket, I walked into the kitchen to pack my lunch and on the windowsill I picked out two black felt tip pens from a cup that's just filled with different pens.

Dad walked into the kitchen with his dressing gown on and his brown fluffy slippers I chuckled a little 'gets me every time' he looked me in the eyes.
"Piss off Josh" he said jokingly

"Sorry it just gets me every time. You and your soccer ball covered dressing gown on and your little fluffy brown slippers" I said laughing and walking into the lounge room I turned the TV on and like every other morning Spongebob Squarepants was on.

I heard dad boil the kettle to make his tea, and my little brother Ben walked in and sit down next to me in his Spider man pj's and bowl of coco pops, after two Spongebob Squarepants episodes and I got up off the couch and walked into the next room which was the kitchen and the dinning room.

I saw dad leaning on the bench and was dressed in his work clothes finishing off is cup of tea. I heard the microwave ding and he walked over to it, opened it up, put a hot cross bun on a plate then slid the plate across the island towards me, as I put some butter on it. I let it melt into the bread for a minute then pulled the plate a little closer to myself so I could eat it. "Might want to eat up... And be a little quick about it we have to leave now" dad said gulping his tea to show how late we were "Thank you, I'll get Ben dressed now" With that he walked out the front most likely waiting for us in his car.

I grabbed the hot cross bun and took big bites then walked back into the lounge room and told Ben we had to get ready for school he got up quickly, hyped on sugar, and ran to his room down the hall from mine and finally got himself dressed and walked to the front of the house where I was stuffing my school books into my bag and tied Jack's laces, we then locked the door and hopped in dads car for him to drop us off at school.

During the car ride we had the radio on listing to the news.... Well dad and Jack I had my headphones in listing to my music, a song ended and changed over to 'Anti-Vist' by 'Bring me the Horizon' and all I could think of was April, I looked out the window lip syncing/screaming the lyrics, we stopped and Ben got out and ran towards the front gate of his primary school to his friends.

'Oh god I just want to hold her so tight' I thought still thinking about April

Before I knew it we were at my school so I paused my music said goodbye to my dad and got out of the car, I walked inside of school and walked around a corner where everyone I know hangs out every morning, recess and lunch.

I saw a certain unique set of long blonde wavy hair..... April.... She turned around from her group of friends and saw me and started running towards me. When she was in front of me she jumped into my arms and wrapped her legs around my torso, she then snuggled her face into my neck I hugged her tighter then put her down and she was out of breath a bit 'shes so cute aw but I want more' "Hi Nate" she said quickly

"Hey, how are you this morning" I replied

"I'm good, had a busy morning though because my little brother you know Parker? Well he wouldn't...... " she started to ramble on But I started to zone out and just stared at her admiring her appearance, I didn't really have to move my eyes up and down because I was taller then her by a foot, she was wearing black skinny jeans a one of my smaller soccer jerseys and her beanie she wears when her ears are cold (as seen in the picture/GIF on the next chapter) and white high converse. She has beautiful, shiny, green eyes and cute weird facial expressions she makes when she tells the story. Once I had finished checking her out I tuned back in. "... So then I had to clean the kitchen and nearly missed the bus!... but I'm here now!" she laughed at the end out of breath

"Sounded like a hectic morning" I said laughing The bell rang shortly after and we stayed in the same spot talking for a bit with two of April's friends that I don't know, about 5 minuets later a teacher came around telling everyone to move off to class so we decided to just go.
