It was the last day of their camp, and the late afternoon sun cast a golden glow over the small, serene lake they had discovered.

Celian stood at the edge, his eyes locked on Astraea, watching her as she moved gracefully through the water. His heart pounded in his chest, a steady rhythm that seemed to echo in his ears.

Astraea had her hair tied up in a high ponytail, and she wore only a simple black bra , revealing her toned physique. Her muscles weren’t overly large, but they were perfectly defined—strong, sleek, and powerful, just like the Alpha she was. Celian's eyes couldn’t help but trace the lines of her body. His gaze drifted from her collarbone to the swell of her cleavage, down to her firm abs, which were etched in sharp lines. He gulped as his eyes followed the subtle curve of her V-line, disappearing beneath the waistband of her swim shorts. Every inch of her screamed strength, dominance, and confidence, and it made his pulse quicken.

Astraea turned, catching him in the act. With a teasing smirk, she quirked an eyebrow at him.

“My face is up here, Celian,” she said .

“I-I…” Celian stammered, quickly averting his gaze, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. He looked anywhere but at her, the blush spreading down his neck as he struggled to find his composure.

Astraea chuckled softly, her eyes never leaving him. She loved how easily flustered he became around her.

Her gaze flicked over his smaller frame, taking in the way he held his shirt nervously, as if hiding from her teasing.

He was wearing half-pants, his lean legs exposed, and she couldn’t help but notice the delicate curve of his collarbone peeking from the neckline of his shirt.

A predatory glint flashed in her eyes as she looked at him, her 'little kitty' standing on the edge of the water, so vulnerable and yet so perfect.

Celian noticed her stare and quickly clenched his shirt tighter, his blush deepening. He felt like prey under her watchful eyes, and it only made him more nervous. He wanted to look at her, but at the same time, he couldn’t handle the intensity of her gaze.

“Come on, little prince, I won’t bite…” Astraea said, her voice low and seductive. Then, almost to herself, she added in a whisper, “Not yet.”

Celian hesitated for a moment, glancing nervously at the water. He wasn’t a particularly strong swimmer, and the thought of being so exposed in front of her made him self-conscious. But the challenge in her voice, combined with the way her eyes seemed to pull him in, left him with little choice. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the wild fluttering of his heart, and finally stepped into the cool water, wading toward her.

Moments later, they were both in the water, their bodies moving with the gentle flow of the lake. Astraea was teaching him how to swim, her hands guiding him as he moved through the water. He wasn’t as terrible at it as he’d thought, and soon enough, he was swimming on his own, the water supporting him as he glided forward.

“You’re a quick learner, you know,” Astraea said, her voice filled with genuine admiration. She had noticed it before, too—how quickly he picked up on things, whether it was swimming or complex mecha designs. He absorbed knowledge like a sponge, surprising her every time.
