Heaven's secret 2 - Through Lucifer's eyes

The white room

Vicky: Don't forget me, Lucifer. You bring the light. Even if it burns,it shows me the way,and you are my beacon.

My fist clenched just for a moment before I wrapped my arms tighter around her. The way she said my name and those words,my heart fluttered. The analogy of me, bringing the light ,was maybe the exact thought of my mother when she named me 'Lucifer' - the light bearer.
I held her closer to my chest. She wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me. We could hear the distant voices of immortals , laughing and dancing. I put my chin on her head and rocked her.

It was the most peaceful moment that I needed . If not for her, I didn't know till when I could bear this facade that I put in front of the horsemen.
Vicky gave me the strength...the hope to not give up into despair. The hope that we will be together someday. We closer our eyes and stayed like that for a while. Basking in each other's love while holding each other like lifeline.

The music began to fade soon. And we could hear the cacophony and the ringing silence of the night after that.

Vicky: I have to go. I need to hurry.....I can't.....

Yet she didn't do anything effort to pull away. Ofcourse I wasn't going to let her go. Maybe Hunger's power didn't affect her,but he was still a horseman. I wouldn't take risk . Not with her life.

" Where is your stone?" I asked. Still holding her.

Vicky: what?

" You should have been given a portal stone ,in case anything went wrong." I said.
I started checking pockets of her gown. I patted her skirt to feel the stone.
I felt it in her inner pocket.
" Found it." I said and took the stone out. I held it up higher as she tried to take it back from me.

Height difference is advantageous sometimes...

" You are going back. Eragon can handle it himself. I'll help him." I said. Making it clear for her that she has to go.

Vicky: No! It's too risky!

I tightened my hold on to her wrist and shook it to make her understand.

" Isn't what you are doing risky too?" I said.

Vicky: Don't interfere.

" So,am I a nuisance? Do you really want to go back in a cage?" I said .

I noticed that she shuddered. Possibly from the memories of her time in dungeon.

Why are you so stubborn?

" Go back." I ordered.

She was silent for a moment then dutifully said

Vicky: Alright.

I couldn't believe it.

Is it another trick of yours?

" Seriously? That easily?" I asked, surprised.

Before I had time to think more about this,she stepped closer to me and pressed her lips to mine.
I responded to the kiss eagerly. My body relaxed into the kiss and I didn't notice that my hand that held the stone up ,relaxed too. My hand lowered slowly to put my arms around her waist.

Suddenly I felt that the stone was snatched away from me and she pushed me . I fell off the roof, caught off-guard.
My wings opened as I tried to steady myself.

Vicky: Keep shining Lucifer. And then, I can always find you.

As I steadied myself, I stared at her. She called Eragon's name and jumped into the portal before I could rush to her .
