It's the wedding day.

I couldn't be any more excited. I've been waiting for my best friend to marry the love of his life for a year now. I always assumed it would be quick like how the proposal was, but when it was the opposite, I was equally as excited. To be apart of all the wedding events. It's been a long time waiting, and I'm beyond excited.

On the wedding day, I arrive early to the venue to get Miles ready. I've already gotten ready in my full attire (choosing to wear a tie five hours in advance isn't the best choice), and when I head up to the extra rooms booked, I knock on a door. The person who opens up the door isn't Miles, but I still smile.

Jen shrieks on the other side, her hand going to her heart, and her eyes playfully narrowed. "Bash! What are you doing here, you freak?!"

I laugh as I reach forward and give her a hug. Jen laughs into my chest, and I feel warm as I wrap my arm around her. I pull back with a grin as I look down at her. "So I assume this is the bridal suite?"

"Yeah," Jen answers, before her eyes hold a teasing glint. "Unless you planned on sneaking into my room?"

"Always a plan," comes my response, which just about sends Jen running. She presses her lips together and then turns around and points to the bride. Andrea is getting her hair done right now, and I hold up a hand in a wave. "Hey, Brennan!" I greet with the biggest grin. I was especially excited for Andrea because she was so hesitant in letting Miles in and now look at her— marrying the man and everything. It's something I was proud of. I was proud of her for being strong enough to love unconditionally. I guess Miles' love for her was strong enough.

Andrea turns around, and with a grin, she says, "Heh, Bash! You know I'm getting married today?"

"I heard," I say with a foolish smile. "Or else I wouldn't be fully decked out in a suit that makes me feel clammy."

"You look great," I hear from beside me and turn around to Jen grinning at me.

I laugh, my heart lightening as I say, "Keep the flirting to a minimum today, for their sake." She only shrugs, and I send her a wink. That makes her flush, and she walks right over to getting her hair done as well. I shake my head and then look over to Andrea again. "So if it's your wedding day, maybe I should let your groom know?"

"Definitely!" Andrea says with a bright grin that lightens up her face. She was glowing today, and I had a feeling why. "And come here?" I walk over to her with an uneasy smile, but she only places a tiny envelope in the palm of my hand. She doesn't release the hold of the envelope and says, "Not for you. Don't open it at all. It's for my groom; I know he missed me last night." Then she winks and drops her hand. I'm gaping at the envelope and raising my eyebrows.

"It isn't what I think it is?" I ask wearily, but all the bridesmaids laugh as Andrea flushes proudly at her seat.

"It is," Jen answers when I look at her disbelieving.

I shake my head, turning to leave before I glance back around. Settling my eyes on Jen, I ask, "And when am I getting one from you?"

That makes everyone laugh, and Jen turns a shade of red that should be impossible. She coughs and then looks over at me finally. "When you are a good boy," she teases, and now it's my turn to flush bright. Pinching the bridge of my nose, I shake my head and leave the room. The bride and her friends were definitely having fun in there.

When I get to the correct room (across the hall), I'm met with a nervous Miles. His eyes are searching all over me as he asks, "Is today really the day?"
