I am unsurprisingly at Jennifer's dance class earlier than I need to be. I wanted to be here and watch her do what she loved. I liked to support her, and now when I walk into the place, Jen catches my eye and smiles at me. So, I'm a happy man as I sit back and watch my girl give lessons to pass down her dancing talents.

When I get to the dance studio, Kate and her friends walk over to me. Kate is the first to speak to me, braces on full display as she says, "Mr. Bash. Since you are good at figure skating, we thought that you would like to dance with us today as well."

The girls are already jumping up and down in anticipation of my answer being a yes. I am frowning at them. "Uh, girls, I'm not—"

A hand goes on my shoulder. "That sounds like a fabulous idea, doesn't it?" It's Jen, smiling at me with a large, toothy expression. She looks down at me and then at her girls, "You guys want Mr. Bash to come dance with us?"

"Yes! Yes!" the girls shout in unison, looking at each other with widened eyes as if they were in disbelief over it. "We really want you to show us your moves, Mr. Bash," Harriet shouts, and all the girls only get even more excited over that.

All of the preteen shouting is loud in my ear, their excitement radiating off of them. I look over at Jen, who is pouting at me. "Why won't you say yes to their asking, Mr.Bash?"

"Fuck off," I curse at her, and a few girls stop screaming instantly at my use of language. "Shit, shit," I curse, panicking. "I didn't mean to use that word—wait."

Katie points a finger at me, "You won't dance with us, Mr. Bash! And now you're cursing."

"Uh," I'm so baffled at the moment, unable to say a word.

Jen looks over at me, her eyes showcasing disappointment as she shakes her head. "Oh, wow, Mr. Bash," she continues to taunt me. "You won't say yes to the little girls, and now you are cursing at your girlfriend."

"Oh, come on, baby," I say to her softly. "Don't make me dance with them."

"Make you?" Jen says with a snort. "Baby, your fate is in their hands, and oh, the little girls are very convincing." Then she grins at me with a wink as she turns to the girls. "So I'm thinking if Mr. Bash won't say yes to our offer, we can all just tackle him?"

At that, all of the twenty kids run over to me, and before I know it, I'm down on the ground and kids are sitting on me. I can't feel my limbs anywhere, and when I look up at Jen, she only moves to sit on my knee as well. "Hey, guys?" I call out, it being hard for me to speak at how I was losing circulation on a various parts of my body. "I can't breathe in here."

Jen is smiling at her girls. "Hey, girls? I think that Mr. Bash is calling a truce." The girls start to laugh at that, and Jen says, "So maybe he will dance if you guys get off him?" At that, the girls get off me, but at what expense? At me being roped into dancing with them. I'm still on the floor, staring at the ceiling dramatically as I say, "I will not dance with them. I'll stay here the entire time."

"As if," Jen says with a laugh. "Come on, the girls are ready for you to dance with them."

"Why aren't you guys coming yet?" Kate shouts back at her, and I then raise my head. "Gianna is already starting the music. We have to go."

"You girls do this by yourselves," I said, shaking my head. "I'll just stay here and watch."

"Mr. Bash!" Harriet sighs as she runs over to me. She places her little hands in mine and attempts to pull me up. "Come now. We will dance."
